I've seen in game that Spock stopped the supernova & he is believed to be dead. We know he started an alternate timeline. How does Spock's voiceover know what is happening after he is ripped from this reality? I like how they tried incorporating the new movie but this is a big plot hole.

Don't even get me started. In the new movie there is a Grand canyon in Iowa, why,I have been in Iowa.I have not seen the big hole that Kirk drove the car into. Also,Why is the StarShip being built on the ground. How the hell can they get that into space after construction? So many more questions.I just try to pretend the new movie never was.:D

yeah i paid the voice overs no mind because they make no sense.
kinda like how zachary quinto plays his part as a hologram in the tutorial "whatever"
Their not trying to incorporate the new movie, and it certainly isn't a plot hole. It's just Leonard Nimoy giving a voiceover, and that's all it is.
then they could have gotten anyone to be the narrator, why give the job to an actor that plays a specific role in a certain universe.
boggles my mind.
actors that play narrator in film and stuff usually do so in a way that is a retelling of an past experience then by the end of the film it's the present and everyone is caught up and the story progresses in realtime.
this isn't the case
it doesn't make sense.
just like how they got quitno to play the medical hologram in the tutorial anyone could have done that except him.

The point is that it's Star Trek. And Leonard Nimoy was Spock. You can do the math right? It makes sense, seeing as he's the narrator, narrating the story of what has happened in this reality. They were a result of his actions. This isn't a "go into the alternate reality and tell Spock what has happened", it's "Spock is narrating what happened from a quasi-first and third person perspective.

Just enjoy it and stop nitpicking.
it's not nitpicking he's describing things that happen after the fact :P
they just hired him because he's leonard nimoy and that it ...all i'm saying is if they wanted him to do voice over least put it into the game that makes sense as your progress in the game there is more dialouge by spock and you will catch my drift then

That wasnt a grand canyon, it was a quarry, if you look at it closely you can see the "quary" cuttings all over it. and starfleet has lifters and antigrav engines - how do you think voyager could land - not EVERY ship was built in space - most ships are "retrofitted" in space - ie the Original Star Trek movie refit scenes.
He simply came to logical conclusions.
and recorded his messages before he got sucked in.
and timed it fortuitously.
I like this answer the best.
Also, it isn't just Leonard Nimoy is the narrator not Spock. He is in character in the voiceovers so he shouldn't know what happened. I get that he is a big recognizable part of Star Trek but it doesn't make sense.

Naw biggest flaw in the "new" movie is that suddenly after 40years of a setting the laws of time travel change. In the fact that time travel now is using the branching approach instead of EVER other time in the Star Trek franchise time travel was linear. IE you could have a grandfather paradox.

Is it me or does he sound absolutley bored out of his little mind whilst reading the lines? "It's a huge attack by the Borg and everyone is getting killed!!! *yawn* Go here and kill some squishies *checks nails*"
Personally I'd have replaced him with a Mk1 EMH and had Robert Picardo (i.e. Voygers Doctor amongst other things) do them or just ad lib like crazy.
How did Kevin Spacey know of any events that transpired after the bullet went through his brain in American Beauty? How did he know what his daughter and the weird camera boy talked about behind closed doors? Or what the ex-Marine and weird camera-boy talked about in the truck on the way to school?
How did that narrator from the Wonder Years ever know about anything that happened outside of little Kevin's scenes?
It's a literary tool. First Person Omniscient View.
Ok to you IDIOTS, who say he is just the narrator.. he is not just narrating. he is telling the story from Spock's point of view even though Spock was sent to an alternate time line about 22 before this all happened...
If they had him narrating as a narrator not as Spock then sure. but they aren't. So nice to see the intelligence around here is climbing.. oh wait..
Why does no one consider the possibility that we will be seeing Spock in the game? It seems pretty obvious to me. Rules of time travel be damned.. we have all sorts of exceptions in Trek. They bend the rules to fit the situation all the time.. and we even have the Q who can do anything they please.
I think it very likely that Nimoy has recorded more lines for an actual appearance by Spock somewhere in the game, and that he is, in fact, speaking from the game's present time period in the intro.

I do hope so, I love Leonard Nimoy as Spock, it makes it feel so much more like Trek. I just wish Kate Mulgrew had done some voice acting for it. Janeway might have lived long enough with the doctors help

Its not like "warp" travel is a big plot hole either, lol!

She would only be in her 60s or 70s during this game. It's very likely she would still be alive.
I have to say, if the Spock narration is only narration with no real meaning, then I will be severely disappointed. It would be too much "fan service" to put something like that in the game just to have him do it.
*holds back urge to criticize other development decisions*

Uhmm actually - you should watch ST:TNG episode called "parallels", they hit on the alternate reality theory which is what the new Star Trek is going off of.
But I will give you this as well: in TNG movie First Contact when Borg go back in time and they witness the changes 1st hand (the earth changed) - they contradict their alternate reality theory. Per their theory - their reality shouldn've have changed but it did.. so go figure.

'Star Trek', the one that came out last year.
Spock is the wizard who did it!
