Hilariously bad martial arts

lol, I know star trek has always had incredibly bad fights in it (with the exception TOS, Kirk pwnt!).. its funny that this game continues that tradition. I kinda thought maybe some good looking movies like in C/O would have showed up.. but nope! Its traditionally bad looking TNG-fights.

Now, i know this will *never* be fixed, but its still funny to laugh at. My favorite is the StarWars Kid spin kick. Its so bad looking, lol! Its extra funny because my character is a little bit fat. Anyone else laugh at this?

If the fights were done well,it would not be Trek.:D The Kirk double neck chop and monkey roll are the best moves ever.;)

    No...not really.

During Closed and Open beta I ran Martial Arts Tac Officers I thought the chaining of two attacks in different combination turned up fairly acceptable results in regards to animation quality, fluidity of movement and produced fairly good damage trained appropriately and used correctly opened up plenty of expose/exploit situations which were effective in ground combat.

Really? You think those animations are anything but bad? Each to their own ;) But there is no way you can tell me those moves are proper martial arts -- they are bar brawl moves. Just sayin!

    That's the point.

By the way, you can disintegrate people with your bare hands or a rifle butt. It's one of my favorite things to do, along with shoving people back in to the fiery plasma. :D

I think youre confusing "bad" with "cheesy." Which is what Trek does best. It might be serious and cerebral, but it still cheesy.

It wouldnt be Trek without the "bad," ^_^

They should integrate Voyager era clasped hands martial arts. It appears if you clasp your hands together and hit someone with the side of your fists from any angle your enemy will become unconscious.

Can't seem to get my Tac officer to use the "Two Hand Whammy"...must be something you unlock at captain.

    :D
