This is the internet. Many, many people express their opinions here as if they are the most important people in the world - which is fine and within their rights, for the most part. So I figured I'd express mine: I like STO. I'm enjoying it. It's fun to play.
The release was smooth (compared to other games), the bugs are relatively few (again, compared to other games) and the developers and support staff seem genuinely interested in peoples' feedback and issues. Is STO perfect? No, not at all. But it's fun and interesting and has great promise. There's no end-game, Klingons need a lot of work and there are a lot of issues yet to be resolved, but the game is still young. You don't berate a month-old baby for not being able to walk or talk yet.
I have enough foresight to realize that the trolls will probably take over this thread within two pages. 1 dissatisfied customer is always louder than 100 satisfied ones. But while it lasts, I figured perhaps the people working on STO would like to see a thread that doesn't have something to do with phaser colors, downtime or "I'M CANCELING MY SUBSCRIPTION" rants.
I personally wonder how many people were playing the first day just hoping for a crash so they could run to the forums and say Cryptic, Atari, and STO were all going to stop existing in mere moments.
