Two questions really for cryptic.

Is there going to be a downtime every single day with STO? Is it always going to be around mid day GMT time?

Cheers.

Yup, but it will get a lot less as the weeks go on. Happens in CO less than every 3 weeks now.

New games need a lot of patching for the first couple of weeks. After that you'll see it slowdown to once a week, or less, depending on how quickly new material is added.

Whether it's you or somebody else in another time zone, downtime is going to affect someone.

Get over it, do something during the downtime, and be patient.

Varfleet, it's perfectly obvious that downtime will ALWAYS affect SOMEONE. The point is, why does it always affect the same people by being right in the middle of when we want to play. A rotating schedule for downtime is really the only way to be fair, and its not like updating shortly after midnight is the most convenient time for the people doing it.

Or you could gtfo? Its a simple question the downtime "time" i have no issue with so thats your assumption.....

Simple just wanted to know so I asked....thats all there is to it....

I also realise new games have alot of downtime and patching this is not my first game launch. I also have plenty of other games to play during these times and a real life to handle thankyou very much.....

So let me re phrase the question so there is no more mis understandings.....

Is it going to become normal procedure for STO to have a daily downtime in the future?
If yes what time will the daily downtime occur?

    Thanks dev's.

P.S. TROLLS go away this isnt discussion thread on what time DT shud be or a crying thread abouthow it effects you because you dont work or have a family claim welfare and do nothing with your life except use other peoples money to play video games 24/7....

I would prefer if they kept the downtime start time @ 11am GMT daily. It works for EVE Online and causes the least amount of annoyance (well except for the Aussies but they don't count).
