Got my retail copy of the Gold Edition of Star Trek Online today (UK bought from Play.com). Just thought i'd share some pictures of what it looks like.
Got mine too but I have to admit that I am hugely dissapointed that there are no buddy keys. I know of at least two of my friends that would have eaten up buddy keys and, chances are, would have turned those into full accounts. I guess that is two subscribers Cryptic are losing out on now.
Honestly I've played quite a substantial amount of MMO's and even in standard retail boxes I've recieved at least three buddy keys - very surprised to see not even a single one in STO, especialy considering the US collectors edition came with 5 made on special plastic cards.
Yet another middle finger at the UK from Namco/Bandai. Truly the worst publishers I have ever had the misfortunte of buying a game from.
I agree that the EU 'Gold' Edition is a little light on substance - it's a shame Namco-Bandai weren't prepared to invest in a proper Collector's Edition like the US got

Ya, i lost count how many buddy keys i got with all the LotRO games / expansions i bought. Maybe they can do it differently and request buddies through a website / e-mail thing.
