Color Tribbles by their Rarity to easily denote what type they are and add their effects in the main, up-front, tool-tip.
Allow the Klingon (or all) Bridge Officers to actually use the Bat'leth in combat.
Make all the Space Traits spawn on all the BO Races, not just Efficiency on Saurians.
Add "Equipped" to item's tool-tips when they are indeed equipped to easily tell which tool-tips you are looking at or compairing.
Clearly define what each of the Stats in both our Characters and Ships REALLY mean and do as well as adding missing Stats, Turn Rate for example.
Allow our Pet Shuttles to stay in space with us even in combat and able to summon them in Sector Space.
Add many more key-bindings, such as, but not limited to: Toggle for 1/2 resolution, Switching Between Power Presets, Changing Instances, a Walk TOGGLE (not a hold down to walk button), Hiding the UI, Rearanging the UI, and I could go on if I could think more clearly.
Allow us to set whatever we like to Auto-Fire (If the player cannot manage their power, then they shouldn't be fighting space battles in the first place, do not dumb it down for us).
Stop the Flagship from camping the Spawn Point in the Secure Missions after it has been completed.
Put back in the Pop-Up list when you are engaged by a Secure Mission Mob in Sector Space (still allowing players to have it not show for those who prefer it the way it is now).
Allow us to have all of our ships the same name, but a different Call Letter in the Registry if it is the same name and another of your own ships. Having to add a -A or -B, etc., on the end of the name is not how it is done in Star Trek.
Allow us to name our own Alien Species. Every Race in Star Trek is an Alien to one another so it makes no sense for us to be labeled as an "Alien." I want to be able to have is say "Half Betazoid" should I so choose, or even "Zebulonian" should I desire.
We need better Community Relations. We need more responses to our forum inquiries as well as more chatting with us from our Community Representatives in both a professional aspect as well as a humorous and Community orientated fashion.
We need more Moderating on this forum! Seek out those trolls!
We need MUCH BETTER GM Page response times. Waiting DAYS and LONGER for a GM Page to even be replied to, and then to get a copy/paste message that is irrelevant to the Paged Topic needs to be looked into and resolved immediately.
You have to stop these Credit Spammers! You know it is bad when I have blocked tons of Spammer and then Six or So hours later, I hear people complaining about Credit Spammers in action and yet I do not see any because I have Already Blocked them, yet they are STILL there!!!! As well, I have OVER 60, yes SIXTY accounts ignored for Credit Spamming in my list! This is Out of Control!
Mid-term requests
Allow passage to Betazoid and the ability to visit it. (My family misses me!)
Allow us to actually beam down to Earth and visit it as well as place Vendors (earth foods) and even Earth-Based Missions (Diplomacy, Science, etc).
Need I say, Skill Resets?
Better Turn Rates for Cruisers. The Enterprise would self-destruct itself if it turned as bad as we do. As well, Clearly Define What Turn Rate and Inertia is, what it does, and how it is affected by our skills and items. We See Little to No Result from our Consoles and Auxiliary Power Settings.
Allow us to un-train bridge officers and gain a small fraction of those points back.
Make it so when a High Level Player is Teamed with a Lower Level Player helping that player with their Mission the Spawned Mobs to not level up to the highest level team member. This makes teaming with friends almost impossible unless they are your level. There needs to be some other form of balance here other than this ridiculous up-scaling so those lower levels aren't one shot killed.
We need more Hot-Bars in space. One or Two more Hot Bars should suffice. I am Captain 3 and my three bars are completely Full!
Allow the individual Hot-Bars to be un-clamped from one another and placed wherever we like.
Add a Plaque to the Bridges of our Starhips complete with Name and Registry and such.
Fix all of the Captain's Chairs so you can more easily sit in all of them. Some like the Classic and Triump, you cannot even get close enough to the seat to sit in them properly.
Put in some Graphic Option to disable the Graphics lag caused by Nebulae and Gas Clouds (this is the only graphics lag I experience).
Long-term requests
Allow full 360 degree movement in space.
Add a Fishing sub-skill. This is one thing I have always loved in MMOs and even though this is a space game, it would be nifty.
Add many many more diplomacy, science, and puzzles solving Mission for the Federation. The way it is now, we are too Hostile and should instead call ourselves Klingons. No offense.
Allow us to choose what type of Exploration Mission we wish to enter in the Nebulas, like Diplomacy, Gathering, Confrontation, etc.
Make a Borg Faction where we can be a True Borg Drone complete with PvE and PvP Missions.
Create Joined-Trill Bridge Officers that any player may acquire through in-game means.
Allow Admirals+ to create their own unique Class of Starships.
I'm sure I'll think of more and will add them in a new post so they are not over-looked. This is just what I could recall or think of in my sleep-deprived state. I am sure I am not thinking of everything I have been wanting to get off my chest.
Ship's Cargo Bay
It's hard to believe that my 400 person cruiser hasn't got it's own "inventory" bank. It doesn't have to be SUPER HUGE.. but someplace we can store those spare consoles we like to swap out.. and those commodities we seem to need to always have on hand "just in case".. maybe a place to store "standard equipment for future bridge officers".
- Increase cruiser turn rates
- Auto-holster weapons in social areas
- Option to skip tutorial and disable tooltips permanently
Mid-term requests
- Replace sector space with a working bridge and viewscreen
- Complete ship interiors with some kind of functionality
- Add a death penalty
Long-term requests
- Non-combat content that is more involving than "Run/Fly up to these five objects and press F"
- Mix the episodes up mechanics-wise (episodes or parts of episodes that take place on your ship / captain gets kidnapped and you have to play as one of your bridge officers, etc etc)
- Race-specific episodes, make me feel like different races are more than looks and a couple of traits
- Make weapons auto-holster when beaming down to starbases or for non-combat missions.
- Make unlocked uniforms wearble by BO's and make all promised uniforms functional (ie TOS)
- Make it so you can set all of your weapons in space to autofire if you wish.
Mid-term
- More control for guilds...guild ranks, etc.
- More variation in patrol and exploration missions
- More visitable locations based on ST lore like earth, risa, etc.
Long-term
- Focus on branching storylines; give players choices during the missions that affect the outcomes (and maybe the rewards) of the missions.
- Build a player created mission system similar to what SWG and CO have instituted.
- Introduce romulan and cardassian as playable factions, with unique PvE and PvP content for each.
I just hit Captain last night, and I can see I'm running out of sectors, so I wanted to add another comment.
As a medium-term goal, I'd like to see more repeatable content (whether it's patrols/dailies, fleet actions, etc) for the higher levels that are spread out in the earlier sectors. It seems unlikely that with a war on multiple fronts, that Starfleet would send all the Admirals in one direction and Commanders in another.
So I'd like to have reasons to go to all of the sectors, for a variety of different kinds of missions and activities, in the upper levels and endgame. And I mean this as a choice, not as busy-work where the missions simply require you to fly back and forth across the map...
These are the best I have seen so far and I think the easiest to do:
Short Term: Auto Holster Weapons when beaming down and polish game/fix bugs.
Mid-Term: Diplomacy in missions and missions that take place on your ship. Klingon PvE content.
Long Term: Ship interiors that can be player houses. Romulan race with full PvE and PvP content.
This game fills like swg did at lauch to me. You can see the potential it has and it will make the hardcore fans stay with it and see if you guys will push it to what it can be.
There was someone who said way back on this post that stick to pleasing the Star trek fans and you have something here. WOW's expansion and SWTOR will pull the hardcore gamers from here. But if you do what is listed above, you'll have a great game that may even become EVE like in that it grows with time.
Honestly, I don't care about any of the gameplay issues. I just want the all of the UI issues to be fixed. Please go look at the User Inteface forum for all those complaints. Please.
2. Allow bridge officer gender and race to be changed.
3. Reduce the cost of changing your rank insignia to 0.
Middle Term
1. Reduce the amount of time in the Lieutenant rank. The ships are ugly, the missions are boring, and such a low grade in command of a ship stretches the game's credibility.
2. Add more single player missions. You shouldn't have to do fleet action or patrol missions to advance in rank.
3. Improve the look of player models. This game shouldn't be lagging behind Champions in graphics.
Long Term
1. Completely rethink how bridge officers work.
2. Introduce better looking ships for the Lieutenant levels.
3. Redo the tutorial. It's horrible and will turn off players allowed to demo the game or playing on free weekends.
Short Term:
-Removing SPAM bots, I mean I already got PMs and as such to purchase currency already.
-Improvement of Chat/Communciation bar, too many SPAMs so I cant understand what other people are saying, so I dont even bother talking to other people.
Mid Term:
-More exploration (non-combat related) like the TOS.
-Holodeck, and other ship compartments. Its nice to be able to see around the Bridge, but if we could add a Transporter Room that we have to go through first then beam down to the planet, starship, or starbase would be ncie. A bar could be added, although may serve no purpose.
Long Term:
-Fleet Conquest, give the fleet the option to conquer systems for the Empires or Starfleet.
-More mulitplayer involvement, everything I am doing is pretty much solo, it might as well be a Singleplayer game.
Short Term: allow my avatar to turn around in ground combat while targeting an opponent.
Medium Term: continue to allow my avatar to turn around in ground combat while targeting an opponent.
Long Term: take the office to a week vacation in sunny, beautiful Mexico as a celebration for allowing my avatar to turn around in ground combat while targeting an opponent.
The developers at Cryptic Studios have laid the foundations of a superlative, triple-A product. Here are some of my suggestions for future directions of development.
Short Term -
Ship Shield Rings - Option to toggle on/off the 4 panel shield ring that surrounds our ships during combat. Their presence is unnecessary and annoying to many players.
Astrometrics Art - Option to toggle on/off the grid lines, lanes and system lollipop sticks in sector space. The fade-in border signs should stay, of course, but the astronomy art of planet-ringed suns, nebula and stars in sector view ended up so fleshed out and so beautiful that the constant presence of the astrometrics art is now cluttering and obscuring what would otherwise be a splendid view of pure, raw space.
Warp Effect - A warp-like effect of Developer design that creates a sense of speed when traveling in sector space. The importance of this to the license cannot be overstated.
Mid Term -
Unrealized short term goals and ...
PvP Meta-Game - A robust PvP, planetary control meta-game in systems, ground and space, in or near the neutral zone. This is what keeps the PvP element of games going and going and going with little developer input once fully realized and established.
Bridge Travel View - Functional bridge that allows bridge-point-of-view in real time when traveling in sector space, with appropriate bridge-board, ambient background chatter.
Klingon Seasons - Three seasons of Klingon PvE missions (42 episodes) in similar fashion to the content with which Federation was launched.
Long term -
Unrealized short and mid term goals and ...
Starship Interior Missions - Fleshed out, persistent star ship interiors for socializing as well as for interloping missions that can occur shipboard. Our ship would be taken out of sector or system space when the shipboard mission instance begins, and returned to same spot upon mission completion.
Third Faction - Be it Romulans, Cardassians or Insectoids, a third playable faction retail expansion product. The latter is my favorite choice just because bug races are really creepy and nigh-on impossible for humanoid races to ever truly trust.
To add a third Long Term Goal suggestion ...
Third Khitomer Accords - An end to the hostilities between Klingons and Federation, and a fresh conflict against the new, third faction noted above. Why? Because once a third faction launches there will be a rush to play them similar to the Oklahoma Land Run of 1889. Game developmental planning has a lot to do with understanding the psychology of the gamer. The new, third faction will rapidly and grossly outnumber the original two factions, and the Federation and Klingons will need to join forces to deal with this new galactic threat.
This is also why the completely alien Insectoids would be the perfect foil against the two humanoid former rivals. This new union of the humanoids also closely tracks many story-lines from canon and would have underlying foundational support in the old adage, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend".
(The Third Khitomer Accord could always be broken at a later date should game-play considerations warrant.)
Short-term requests
1) Fixing loading screen times, ESP..... Sol System (I can't stand waiting forever to load into Sol only to be logged out for inactivity)
2) More detailed explanations of captain skills and what exactly is affected, same for BO skills.
3) Better anamalgous items in the explorer quests besides mineral samples/radiation, i.e. same as in the acutal explorer zone.
Mid-term requests
1) Respec for captain skills
2) Better much more detailed online manual
3) Overhaul skill point cap for captains
Long-term requests
1) Much more fleshed out missions esp in Explorer Zones (i.e. not a grind and all the same)
2) More items to craft in Memory Alpha and more NPCs to offer differing items, more items/diversity to choose from for explorer badges
3) Difficulty scaling, i.e. choose how hard you want the missions with increasing rewards (items/skill points) for higher difficulty
I've only played for a short time, but I have some "knee jerk" suggestions, some which are to improve functionality, but others just to improve the aesthetic experience. A lot of these have been listed before, so I'm suggesting/endorsing the following:
Short term
--Auto holster in friendly areas (i.e. Starbases).
--Option to upgrade uniforms but still keep the classic Fed uniforms. I know this sounds weird, but it's just strange to me and my team to walk around with a combat suit on instead of our regular uniforms.
--Mission rewards listed even after I accept the mission.
Mid term
--More ship design options
--MAKE THE BRIDGE FUNCTIONAL. I want to sit in the chair, plot courses, and go to warp while I'm on the bridge where my conn can automatically navigate for me, and perhaps even allow tactical to run patterns and customizable attacks.
--Objectives highlighted on map.
Long Term
--More accessible areas on the ship (holodeck, ready room, ten forward, etc.). I should also be to leave the bridge and access these places while my ship is at warp.
--VO for bridge officers. Even if not for all NPCs, at least do VO for the bridge crew which could be accomplished by recording several voices for each race/gender.
--Randomly generated sectors to explore which would provide greater exploration beyond what is "scripted" by devs.
Two more short term requests (since I came up short in my intial post):
"Just Shoot The Damn Gun" mode for Officers in Away Teams. Call it Assault as opposed to aggressive or passive modes. When toggled the Officer will ignore his skills and focus only on downing targets with whatever weapon/melee attacks are available.
Last night I sent my Klingon engineer to take out a heavily shielded target with his fancy new bat'leth. So, he charges right in, I was expecting some grade-a whuppin', and then spends all his time in the Romulan's face beaming down shield generators and using Quick Fix with the occasional, half-hearted, bat'leth attack. How anti-climactic!
Since Passive mode forces characters to concentrate on their skills and ignore their weapons we need an opposite mode for when we just want an AI crewman to beat the snot out of, or vaporize, something.
Suppressing Fire Needs New Graphics. Seriously, you guys do know what suppressing fire is right? It's when you shoot so much your enemy gets pinned down. The in-game effects fairly well reflect this too. But the graphics, of some weird tricorder scanning session, absolutely don't fit. I want to see Sgt. Fury grade laser beam sprayin' all over the place. Something that might make a man falter and lose his nerve in the face of it.
I think all the short term stuff I'd like to see has been covered.
(Edit - just thought of 2 short-term ones!) Short term
* Clickable Captain's Chair! I should not have to jump up on top of my captain's chair, turn around, and do an emote in order to sit on it!
* Walk-toggle! It is undignified for me to have to jog to my captain's chair - and while Walk can be accessed now with a key-bind, you have to keep it held down to use it. It should just be a toggle to switch between run and walk.
Mid term
* More player ship interiors. As in, access to more areas than just the Bridge. Captain's Ready-Room (with a poker minigame!), Sickbay, Lounge/10-Forward, Holodeck (see below), etc. Preferably scaled, depending on the size of the ship. Not all options available on all ships.
* GM-driven events. This is my number one wish. We've seen that Cryptic can do this (the end of beta Borg invasion), even if the Klingon invasion was somewhat flawed. It was awesome fun, and something I've not seen in an MMO since Ultima Online - GM's taking control of mobs, in addition to just spawning them. If done properly, it'd take effort and resources, but would really make STO stand out from the crowd, especially if events had lasting consequences. E.g., over a series of events, a threat emerges for, say, Celes. Players participating will meet threats generated by (and even played by) GMs - there could and should be interaction with NPCs played by devs or GMs, including RP. Players "win" the event - great. Players "lose" - and those wanting to access Celes will have to overcome some sort of obstacle to do so. Or it just isn't accessible for a couple of real-world weeks. (Just picked Celes as an example - obviously, this couldn't be done on a world/location with an important mission destination without some additional work).
And not all such events would need to be major or require much pre-planning, or have mid- or long-term consequences. You're flying through Sector Space when suddenly an "All Ships Bulletin" hail comes in from Starfleet (or the KDF) - Borg cube in X sector, Undine attacking Y planet (either ground or space) - and those who wish to can respond. Enemies in this case again being controlled by GMs so they're more intelligent than the AI.
Long term
* More factions/extended content. Playable Cardassians and Romulans, with PvE and PvP. And, ideally, a "neutral" or "non-aligned" option, where whatever your race, you're an independent merchant/privateer.
* Explorable areas. I'd like to be able to beam down to San Francisco, Paris, and a more interesting Risa, etc. :P (Somehow, I always imagined Risa to be that bit more "interesting" than pretty much any undeveloped 20th century beach resort).
* Holodeck! Also known as 'player-generated content'. No skillpoints, no rewards bar what the creator allocates out of his/her own posessions. But a Holodeck where a player can use dev tools (or dev-tools lite) to create "missions" for their friends.
short term.
like to see vendor upgrades done to main bases like star base 39 so do same thing there as in earth spce dock so you dont always have go back there'.
a permanent solution to gold spammers.
ability to challenge other to a friendly duel or maybe attack an opposing faction ship in sector space. wher it will drag both players into a random map where they can fight it out.
mid term
like to see random missions where. you would be doing something like an exploration mission or flying through sector space. and out of the blue you get a communication from star fleet ordering you to respond to a distress call in your area or ordering to suspend your current mission to help solve a diplomatic crisis in a nearby system cause your the closest ship!
long term
keep adding content like episode missions besides the raid episode ones along with expanding the galaxy and putting in more zones
Short Term:
Ability to set all energy weapons to auto-fire.
360 degree movement, or at least the ability to go straight up and down, rather than having to spiral to gain or lose altitude.
And I really think they need to make planets ad moons and stuff a lot bigger looking.
Mid term:
They should just remove sector space and have you plot courses from your bridge with the map.
The rest of your ship beyond the bridge, maybe customizable quarters, stuff like that.
Actual crafting, or gathering, like mining planet and asteroids and skimming gas from nebulae and stars.
Long term: The only long term thing I really think they need to work on is making the game more open. Having more to explore on planets then a 100' square area that you beam into and out of. Have entire solar systems instead of just one planet with a moon. Change the way warp works so that it's just a fast travel ability, rather than a 'start mission / end mission' toggle. Make you plot a course BEFORE jumping to warp when you finish a mission. If you've ever played Klingon Academy you'll know what I'm talking about here, and that game was made in the 90's...
At least TRY to make it a bit more seamless. Right now it's like Frankenstein's monster...
Iron out all Driver-related bugs with the Cryptic Engine
Address skill balance issues with Viral matrix and others as needed
Add some genuinely "Klingon" looking UI elements to the faction instead of the Red-Fed look with Blue Bridge officers
Slow down space combat slightly by adjusting Shield & Weapon mathematics (Again..slightly) Mid-Term
Add as much PvE Content as you can within your time constraints to the Klingon side
Add more uniform / customizations for klingon females.. (the bustier of death is getting old)
Work on Balancing out the klingon Raptor Class at all levels to make it a more viable ship choice.
Add more PvP Maps, and remove the ones that are least commonly used (again via data mining / examination)
Remove the Generic speech bubbles at earth spacedock commenting on how awesome I am...we're not kirk.. our egos are not that big. Long-Term
Add the Cardassian and Romulan Factions with FULL PvE content at launch,
Add more Raid-i-sodes for low levels, and more fleet actions for low levels.
Adjust ground combat mechanics to have more quick & decisive battles.. trench warfare is NOT in the 25th century...
Examine data from ship class choices, and remove the least favored / chosen models with more requested types
(I.e tier 3 science, for oberth class or the like.. or add iconic ships purchased only in the C-store)
I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but on the short term, I would like to see BOs auto holster weapons on non combat missions, or atleast when I do. I can live with having to manually holster my rifle, but it's kinda annoying when I'm running around SB 114, or some of the other non-combat locations with my BOs and I've got my weapon holstered, but my officers are running around with big hand cannons.
For a mid term fix I would like to see the rest of the starbases finished out with vendors. right now only K7, DS9 and SB1 have them, although there are places for them at MA and SB 39 Sierra. I would also like to see all the combadges available for any uniform, not just particular ones, for example, DS9 uniform with FC combadge, so it's like on voyager, or TWOK uniforms with TNG combadges like in the 2350s.
On the long term, I would like to see more race choices, Gorns and Orions for feds, maybe even Deltans (with the same abilities as the Orion Vixens ) or Telarites.
I would also like the option to enter hostile ships with a bording party and conquer it in close quarter combat. Just fight it out, with a gun in my hand.
- Fix Ai pathing so that they do not get stuck in particular objects (examples: away team running into objects that get them stuck, enemy ships that get stuck into asteroids)
- Make transphasic torpedos more viable for combat. I get the feeling they're good for shield bleed through but they do not deal enough damage for its CD. Either fix the bleed through damage of the CD.
Medium term:
- Give more options when it comes purchasing items with badges or crafting. The items available feels very limited and they may not be the items I want to specialize in. (example: what if i want to use disruptor beams over phaser beams, polaron beams over anti-proton beams, proton torpedos over quantum/plasma torpedos? etc.)
Long term:
Whatever you do, try to make whatever you're doing feel fresh. For example, try adding more random missions into the exploration clusters or modify current ones for later clusters so that they do not feel expected and repetitive.
Short:
Respecs for the love of god... please. There is a steep learning curve and we should not be locked into mistakes we made when we were learning the game.
Auto-fire for all weapon slots... (mashing my spacebar every second does not constitute skill nor does it add "fun factor" to the game) Also, there is currently a work around to make them auto-fire anyway, just make it a game feature.
Faster sector space travel... as it is now I click a destination and window out while my ship tootles along.
Medium:
Increase in game difficulty... specifically ground missions, they are simply travel/click fests now.
More ship customization... I want to look different than the billion others playing the game. Would really like my gear to effect the ship appearance even if it is minor differences.
Death penalties... no pain, no gain :P
Long:
Extensive raid/group content.
Faction consequences... dare to dream of the rogue starfleet admiral aligning himself with the klingons or even the borg!
Short-term
A: All weapons with the option to auto-fire (or at least any non torpedos)
B: Fleet features working correctly, as well as other bugs/server issues fixed
C: More customisation options on the user-interface in general
Medium-term
B: Full 360 space gameplay, none of these kid-friendly controls, the average age range of gamers participating in this game is not 4.
B: More NPC, game object interaction.
A: Less rigid gameplay, make there way too many missions for each level, so that there is always something new to do, instead of the same old thing each time you progress a character.
Long-term
A: Full spaceship, not just bridge, you already have the graphics in different parts of the game, not that hard to improve on, could then bring in missions later into this or even allow us to customise our ship interior like bases in Champions and City of Heroes.
B: Full solar systems, exploration on planets at random locations as well as special landmarked locations - example: Earth - Starfleet Academy and San Fancisco
C: Improved end game content - raids, special events, etc
Functional sensor array. From all the stupid things it really is quite dumb to use visual navigation to find for example Rubindium asteroids amongst 1000+ asteroids. We have state of the art sensors in our starships so why dont use them also.
For all the mission objectives, tricorder or ships sensors need to show direction to mission objectives.. Always!!
To make it more interesting do not make it blandly show all just with one button. Make a pull down menu for sensors/Tricorder where you can select what anomalies to search, what kind of roids, emissions for cloaked ships etc.
Make more functionality for sensors and tricotder so that they really are tools instead of one-for-all scan. Now that it shows direction to all flashys i need to empty all the crtes, anomalies etc to find mission objectives.
1. Auto-Holster when entering a non-combat situation.
2. The option to change disruptor starship attacks to orange and only orange. Green beams from a Federation ship just does not seem right to me. (But I could be wrong canon-wise.)
3. An option to skip the tutorial would be great.
Medium Term
1. New and more accessible starports and space stations. Perhaps not as large or with all the amenities as in Sol, but just a place to land and sell some stuff, maybe check the exchange, access a bank etc. Ports strike me as few and far between. NPCs with goods for purchase specific to each port, such as specialized science kits in one and specialized beam weapons in another. Ports would also work as perfect staging points for new missions.
2. New Missions. This could just as easily be in the long term section. But several more missions, or episodes, throughout each rank could be nice. I should have too many missions to choose from for each level rather than having to repeat missions over and over.
3. I was expecting more from the ship customization. It is good now, but it could offer much more. Simply more options, within reason depending on ship class, would be great.
Long Term
1. Crafting that is well thought out, not completely linear (as it is in most mmos), fun, and full of user inputs. By user inputs I mean the option to decide between a little more dps (within reason) for a little less accuracy as an example.
2. A sense of urgency in the PVP world. I don't really care if the Klingons win an engagement. A dynamic PVP environment, on the sector space scale. Battles over systems and so on.
3. More involved and meaningful exploration. The random generators works okay but is not much fun after a short time. The more there is for me to do that is meaningful exploration/crafting, and not simply ground/space combat over and over the longer I will be a happy customer.
Keep up the good work all and thanks for this thread...
Comments
1. More non-combat and exploration quests
2. Puzzles, mysteries, choices, etc.
3. More development of social hubs like Risa

1. Add TOS skirts and tops for female officers.
Medium Term: continue to allow my avatar to turn around in ground combat while targeting an opponent.
Long Term: take the office to a week vacation in sunny, beautiful Mexico as a celebration for allowing my avatar to turn around in ground combat while targeting an opponent.
To add a third Long Term Goal suggestion ...
Fix Fleet Action missions. Establish max and min level restrictions on these missions.
Fix Ground powers disappearing from hotbar upon beam down.
Mid Term:
Establish a fair DP (eg. 10% crew reduction per death up to a minimum of 10% of max crew compliment - rezone to remove)
Enable 360 degree pitch and roll capability (Q and E keys could control left/right roll).
Long Trem
Establish Fleet bases.
Esatblish Fleet vs. Fleet pvp ladder matches. (not my cup of tea but I know a lot of folks would enjoy this)
More variation on mission goals other than kill these guys, scan these, kill this boss.
My 2 cents.
Thanks!
(Edit - just thought of 2 short-term ones!)
Short term
But a Holodeck where a player can use dev tools (or dev-tools lite) to create "missions" for their friends.
like to see vendor upgrades done to main bases like star base 39 so do same thing there as in earth spce dock so you dont always have go back there'.
a permanent solution to gold spammers.
ability to challenge other to a friendly duel or maybe attack an opposing faction ship in sector space. wher it will drag both players into a random map where they can fight it out.
mid term
like to see random missions where. you would be doing something like an exploration mission or flying through sector space. and out of the blue you get a communication from star fleet ordering you to respond to a distress call in your area or ordering to suspend your current mission to help solve a diplomatic crisis in a nearby system cause your the closest ship!
long term
keep adding content like episode missions besides the raid episode ones along with expanding the galaxy and putting in more zones
- Open PvP Zones
- More Klingon Content
Korthos
Iron out all Driver-related bugs with the Cryptic Engine
Address skill balance issues with Viral matrix and others as needed
Add some genuinely "Klingon" looking UI elements to the faction instead of the Red-Fed look with Blue Bridge officers
Slow down space combat slightly by adjusting Shield & Weapon mathematics (Again..slightly)
Mid-Term
On the long term, I would like to see more race choices, Gorns and Orions for feds, maybe even Deltans (with the same abilities as the Orion Vixens
Guild space stations.
More voice acting. Geez. You'd think that this game had more than 4 voices when you bought it.
(I volunteer my time and voice towards this endevour.)
More interaction with "on screen" characters, while on the bridge.
More Starbases. How about one we can 'park' inside?
More DETAILED descriptions of gameplay directions and missions.
Character expressions. I would like to see others SMILE, once in a while.
I cannot stop playing this game.
I love this game.
I'll be back..
