Subscribing to STO

I know I'll get flamed as an idiot but where the hell so you sign up to subscribe to STO? I bought the standard digital download as a preorder. I would like to elect one of the subscription plans but I find it a challenge to find out where to do this. Any onfo would be appreciated. I've never an MMO that makes paying such a chore.

    You need to enter your retail key onto your account. then it will let you subscribe.

    If you have not recieved it yet then you need to contact the company that you pre-ordered from.

    enter your cd key then you should be able to setup a subscription plan
