Lag 1min agter login?????

NVIDIA GeForce 8500GT
AMD Athion(tm) 64x2 Dual core processor 4800+
2.51 GHz 2.00 GB RAM

this is what i got . i have latest drivers tryed re install
and everything i could think of for the last 5 days

im a strat game buff , sins of a solar empire runs great. better than b4 i
de fraged and all the matanance stuff

game ran great in bata. then 2nd day of the head start i left it on for 20 min .
bam super lag

im at a loss and no GM help they must be boged down

    Do you mean FPS lag, where the image "jerks" around? Or do you mean network lag with rubberbanding (you take 1 step forward and go 2 steps back?

    It is a lot easier to help you if you can put your words into the correct form and then into sentences, no one is trying to kill you right now, you have all the time in the world to type correctly.

    sorry im just so fustrated... its fps lagg tho it works fine for 2 min then crazy fps lag >_<

    FPS lag means its something on your system :(

    Do me a favor, go into your ingame video settings and push the slider to minimum. See if it runs smooth.

    If it does, slowly change the settings under advanced until you reach the point where you get fps lag. Once you hit that point, just push them back a little, so you know your comps limits.

    lags on minimum. it comes and gos now might get the odd 2 min of no lag . i tryed cleaning comp thought it might b over heating but still lags.
    i seen this post might b the 8000 series of gforce >.<

    Well, I can't be sure, but it sounds like your video card is overheating. I've played games where the same thing happens (on my old computer). The game will run smoothly, then MAJOR framerate plunge, then the card cools down slightly and the framerate goes back up. You might want to invest in some more case fans.
