I know the Card works I just used it on XBOX Live not but a few days ago. Been trying for over 3 hours now and I finally get in and it declines me? I've tried contacting Billing Support but nothing happens trying to create a ticket. I'm at a loss as to what to do next. No way am I going to call long distance to sit on hold in this mess.
Sigh this combined with the lag and server issues just WOW.
Probably auto declining from overbilling me every time I tried to register the card and key.
So is this for real or another false error message from billing?
I keep getting the decline message now. Finally managed to open a ticket but I don't expect a response any time soon. This has been a big waste of time and it looks like I will have to spend a few more hours to sort the mess out. What a wonderful Billing Service and I thought Microsoft had the worst Billing ever.
bump no response from ticket as of yet. I notice sometimes it adds a credit option to my account. Although the credit card number format appears to be wrong. I've tried deleting the old payment method and redoing it several times but even that is not working. Really starting to wonder why its declining and I know it has something to do with Cryptic. How much you wanna bet I'm going to be on the phone for a while sorting this TRIBBLE out. So much time wasted I wonder why I even bother some times.
LOL the lag from the servers being completely overloaded and underpowered. The constant rubber banding in every aspect of the game. WTF game are you pretending to play? I have a 100mbit Coax Connection running on a Fibre line how about you?

Umm theres almost no rubber banding at all in this game. The server issues were due to capacity and have almost been fully fixed.
Care to elaborate? And as for 100mb i doubt that. And IF you do have that conenction, then theres still a big problem either with your network setup or your isp.

No need to get abusive or arrogant. It really isn't worth the ban. As i said, the server rarely rubber bands. If youa re experienceing heavy rubber banding, then the problem is either on yoru side or your isp.

Everything I've tried has come up failed- dashes or spaces between numbers (in the former, gives an error saying must be number; in the latter, auto-removed them), making sure my email adrs was validated, logging out and rebooting the browser. None of it has been of any avail yet.

Thats exactly what I mean. It worried me so I removed the billing option and started over thinking the system had stored the information wrong. At this point though I have no idea what's going on. My only other guess is that it overbilled the accounts so much they went into autodecline mode. I know my card is valid as I bought some points on Live just the other day and extended my subscription. At least now I get the decline message all the time as if the system is not overloaded and or working properly.
I was also partly worried because my card is first and foremost a debit card - but it has the Visa stamp of approval, and every other online retailer and game has taken it just fine (including City of Heroes, WoW, Age of Conan, Star Wars Galaxies... man, this list makes me sound like a nerd) so I doubt that's an issue. I also thought it might be the 'billing info' section not matching up with my bank, Wells Fargo, so I tried basically every address I've had in the past 8 years, also to no avail.
What the account billing does is try a transaction to the card (mainly 1 doallr charge) to the card to verify it is a valid card (the transaction is refunded)
I just used a different credit card and it decided to work. The first one was a Visa Gift Card, the one that worked was a MasterCard.
Unfortunately, I don't have another card I can try using. It was one of the first things I thought of.

Well I just got off phone with American Express and they are telling me it's a Billing issue with Cryptic as nothing has been charged to my account and it just declines it every time. Again nothing is wrong my card is fine but it will not accept it.

I was finally able to submit a ticket; (from the dashboard, the drop-down menu at top right, select my tickets and you can create a new one); I hope that with the launch they've got some people staffed round-the-clock to help catch up with the backlog, though I doubt they'll be phone staffed.

Well, it'd be nice if they'd let us download the most recent patches without an active acct so we didn't have to wait to download them once the issue is fixed.

Regardless it's 5:06PM and I have been trying to subscribe since 10:30am and the problem is NOT on my end or with MY CARD. Would be nice to get a response as to what to do next. Would also be nice to get some kind of compensation for all this lost man hours wasting time trying to beta test Cryptics Billing System FFS. Hopefully as soon as I get this issue resolved if ever, I can go join in on the D2D missing item thread JOY. This is turning out to be worse than Star Wars Galaxies launch.

It didn't. And every single time I ran it through again, they charged it.
Again, and again, and again.
It overdrew my bank account and I still haven't gotten an answer from anyone. Now, my bank account is locked up. I can't use my card even for an emergency. And I haven't heard word one from Cryptic about it, and the funds have not been put back onto my card.
Funny thing is, now my account is "active".......but they're still holding about $220.00 that I didn't think I was paying them when I ran my card through all those times.

I checked with American Express. Thank god they didn't charge my card for anything but it shouldn't be declined it's perfeclty good. Call your credit card and revoke payment on those items it should be refunded instantly. Then find out who billed it and have the CC deal with them directly. Should speed things up because Cryptic isnt even responding to tickets with this issue. I'm sure more people will have this problem but probably havent tried to register since the overload on the servers earlier. Either way this could be a distaster for them if word gets out about overbilling.

(I have a Mastercard tied with my Paypal account who work perfectly with many other sites...)
I received e-mail of confirmation with a number but not of Lifetime Subscription in my account and the credit card was not debited for the moment.
