Have the same issue. Went to my account info on the STO site and everything seems to be in order but according to the launcher there is an account error and servers are down. Did you guys get the game via Steam as well?

I got mine from delivered from UPS by Gamestop,
And yeah anytime I open the launcher it says "Servers Up" then I put in my login, and it says "Servers down " Up top and "Account Error" At the bottom
Whilst I realize the pandemonium going on I just want to know if its my own account doing this or if this is a widespread problem

Doesn't seem exactly widespread but obviously some of us are affected. It could be a lag problem between Cryptic and whoever they're using for billing services. I opened a ticket in the billing section and will let you guys know if I receive any feedback. Just hang in there, it's day 1 and there's going to be a lot of kinks to work out.

I'm having the same issue; I tried re-entering my product key and it says i'm signed up for the 30 day free trial; do i need to enter something else? All of the other options are for payment methods and it doesn't take me to another screen for anything but them

I've got the same problem on a Del Taco 2-day promo trial. Interesting that this is a widespread problem.

I had the same issue and finally fugured out what my problem was and it was the subscription service. When I entered my product key the first 2 times it did not give me the "subscription" screen. However on my 3rd attempt I got the subscription screen and entered the information for a one month subscription and finally was able to get past the launch screen. Hope this helps.

Yeah, mine is showing up under products as well. I even tried changing my subscription plan in hopes that it would refresh, but it didn't help. I guess when we created subscriptions it was at a time of high traffic and the process got messed up. It's on their end, not ours.

yeah I've accepted the fact that there are troubles going on,
the most we can do is wait and keep trying I guess.

I'd say call them however I was on hold listening to distorted music for nearly an hour. And the ticket system is probably down/flooded like everything else

We can complain on the forums!
We're humans, breaking things and complaining are two of the things we do best xD

I just wish a "thank you for holding" message would come on every now and then, Right now I feel like my call is going nowhere because I've been listening to the same inaudible music for like, an hour or two now

A thank you for holding message would be nice, and the "noise" that plays while on hold is awful. I wonder if this noise could be used as a weapon against the Borg?

I wish these guys had a callback option like my cell phone provider does
they call you back in 4-30 minutes so you dont have to be on hold and your first in line for the next agent
my ear is starting to bleed, please cryptic look into something like this xD

hate to say it guys this happened to a lot of people when the head start kicked in. No telling what the trick is to getting your account into a good status thought. I have had a ticket in since the head start started. Posted in multiple posts just like this just to watch a few of the posters get there accts fixed. Only to watch as i yeat again fell through the cracks. I am getting very frustrated my self and only want to play the game but im actually worried about paying for the retail just to find out i spent 50 bucks and im still going to be left out in the cold. Might be best just to wait a month as they fix the initial bugs then give it a shot so i don't get boned yeat agian.

I know the feeling, I was on for at least a hour and it seemed it was all noise. I guess its a wide spread thing not sure whats going on, I keep tying to log on but i get the same thing everytime. I wonder if i missed a step. This is what i did.

    1. Downloaded the game.
    2. Set up a account on here
    3. Entered my key
    4. Subscibed to a 30 day trial
    5. Launched the game and still no respones.

I installed the game from Disc,
    Signed into my account
    entered my key
    entered creddycard info
Launched the Launcher (I Had previously uninstalled the old launcher so it would install cleanly) and here we are

Not much difference than your procedure, so I guess we keep waiting. I'm still on hold i'm going to choke someone :(

I find it a little disturbing that this is one of the few threads of this size that no dev or community manager has responded to. Could we perhaps get a little feedback here?

Maybe they don't have an answer for it
I believe this is the only thread with this issue.

Still holding. Since it's about 50 minutes until their support closes, I'm about to give up.

I went to go check on my ticket
"The ticket service is currently unavailable"

    I was somewhat unsurprised.
