I read somewhere that the tribble predator was reptilian, but didn't catch the name.

Borg + Thalian chocolate mouse = STL

Edit: just a quick clarification for Ifniluck--unless I specified otherwise, all my Borg tribble tests were on the live server. :)

Indeed on their original homeworld the reptiles ate tribbles. The Klingons genetically made a predator that just didn't have the guts to eat the gigantic tribble colonies. :)

lol I read fine thank you. I'm just not terribly interested in becoming a full time tribble rancher thats all. However, thank you very much for the information. I suppose somewhere in that mass of literature there is some sort of pricing guide?

I sold the little guy 1 Tribble (how)

What he's worth to the tribble crowd, I have no clue. I know what I got but who knows, perhaps someone got a great deal.

Pricing guide? Basically everything in a MMO like this is whatever the market will bear. I guess someone could come up with a list of what they think each type of Tribble is generally worth but whether or not you can get someone to buy it for those numbers is another matter. It's just like eBay.

Having said that it's probably easiest to assume the Tribbles which provide the better buffs are typically going to be the ones worth bothering to sell. With that in mind I'd probably focus on the following types if I was worried about maximizing cargo space for profits: Highison, Yu, Griffis, Zinc, Velasquez, Daxter, Nielson, Harrington, Mattson and Ricossa. I would think you could get many thousands for these with a bit of patience so if you ever eneded up with one of these "by accident" I probably would not toss it out the airlock. ;)

Well, just progressing my 3rd character, doing the Undine/monk mission with all the Klingons. I am usually careful and put food over to idle BO's but at this early stage with all 4 BO's on the ground with me it stays in my inventory.
So I have numerous foods in there including a Klingon Heart of Targ.
After a fight there are about 4 or 5 loots all together, easiest to just loot and set free any unwanted tribbles.
Tribble Tho is one of the loots so I open my bag loot and go to set it free, the exact moment it drops in my bag, the heart turns into a Dot. /played and it's at 5 hours and 11 secs.

Lesson /played is an easy command to do before hand. Meh!

All them other dafty foods in there but no, go for the heart, literally.

I've had the SAME thing happen. It actually made me stop picking up tribbles in loot all together. You don't HAVE to pick up the tribble to begin with if you check the loot before putting it in your inventory.

Yep I know, but with 4 or 5 loots all near each other it's just easier to make sure there are no yellows left.

The ones that breed directly off of a Borg tribble are worth more than the basic tribbles, and have higher buffs as well. Higher resistance/damage/regen when you're in ground combat is worth the slot for the higher tier tribbles. If you don't want to keep them yourself, onsider donating them to fleet mates, or selling them on the Exchange. You can make some decent money from selling Stacy, Howe, Deangelo, and Cavallaro, all of which breed directly from Borg. You won't get rich off of it, but it never hurts to have some extra spending money.

So wait, the ones that breed from the Borg tribble have higher buffs?

You can give them to your BOff's, where they will use them and get the appropriate buff from the appropriate tribble..

Don't know about you but when I go on a ground mission my away teams stats completely disappear. Nothing from tribbles, armour, traits. No resistance no crit chance or severity. Nothing. Just a -10,000 stealth detection.

And it's not cosmetic it's real and on every character.

Well clearly that's a bug. I think they're aware of it but I still hope you're reporting it when it happens.

When you beam down, go to the left a bit up, into a cave - you have 3-4 vendors there, selling the same stuff/food. Among other things also Full Hypos! Also different vendors are spread around the map, but you will get the same stuff from them - the cave is close and a safe bet.

Thank you for the directions. Never even knew that was there. Now I just need to find that cave on Risa...

It is every time so no point reporting it 'when' it happens and as far as I can tell server wide. Have you checked yours, while on a planet? I have reported it but the silence is deafening.

There's a new breed of tribble for us to aspire to - Colony tribble.

Easy. Take 3 parts klingon grapok sauce + 1 part snail juice. Reduce to 1/3 volume over an open flame. Makes a great glue. Then you just need a bunch of tribbles.

    Never mind....

I need to be logged in... and it helps if i focus on one tribble at a time

So to "USE" the tribbles they just need to be in inventory or do you have to handle them like the normal healing ones.

How are they used in space? Like Weapons Batteries?

To use them, i.e. get the buff, they need to be in your captain's or bo's 4 slot inventory. Just click on them when in your skill panel and you get the buff.

Tribble buffs no longer work in space. It was a bug that allowed that and now it has been squished.

Neat, I've been saving all my tribbles and each of my BO's has at least one.

I'll see what I can do with your charts.

    Thanks!

@darkwillow--tribbles won't breed in the fleet banks, unless Cryptic changed something.

Well it's hard to say that as a blanket statement without explaining a bit first.

The Borg Tribble is likely going to have the same breeding pattern as the pre-order Rivera Tribble. What that means is that it will produce a wide range of medium level buff Tribbles. This means that it's easier to use this one single Tribble to breed up to the highest buffing Tribbles quicker.

In a nutshell the Borg Tribble will allow you to breed the best Tribbles from it in just a couple of steps instead of 4 or 5 steps. Think of it like a "shortcut" Tribble that makes breeding any of the top level Tribbles easier.

If you're serious about generating lots of top end Tribbles for yourself or to sell it would make your job much easier to start with either the Rivera or this Borg Tribble first. ;)

The prediction for this one (assuming the Borg Tribble is going to continue matching Rivera one-for-one) is that Borg + Cardassian Kanar = Dotson. Is it possible this might have been a typo when you posted this?

I'm not against the idea of Borg not matching Rivera exactly. I'm just pointing out this would be the first example of them not lining up so I'd want to be sure of this. :)

Umm.. Rivera + cardassian kanar = deangelo, so this is the expected behavior for borg.

Nope, not a type. :) It made a Deangelo. I appreciate you checking, however.
