Why have I not received my lifetime subscription?

I paid for lifetime subscription last night

Paypal confirm the transaction is complete

My account has not been updated... I'm still a 'pre-order' player and can't make my borg or make 4 characters

I've sent an email to support and started a ticket in-game... no response

Do I really have to raise a payment dispute with PayPal? or perhaps start a small-claims court case?

Come on Cryptic... read your emails!

    Well considering the game is not officially released then why should your account be marked for lifetime? Why don't you enter your game code and see what happens? Oh yeah that's right, the game isn't released fully yet!

    No problems here.

    Paid at the STO site, was making my Borg character a half hour later. And that's only cos was waiting for a patch, the account showed as updated immediately.

    You made sure you were logged in to your account first on the website?

    If yes, contact billing. The forums probably can't help you much.

    Go back to the main STO page, click on "My Account." If you see "Star Trek Online Lifetime Subscription" under "Activated Features" then you're good to go. Otherwise, submit a ticket to Cryptic Support.

    They'll get to you as soon as they're done swimming across the room full of money to your ticket.

    ... and you expect to find more help here than contacting Cryptic? They're probably backed up with support issues. Have you tried calling them?

    The Community here can't do anything to help you with this.

    Go back to the main STO page, click on "My Account." If you see "Star Trek Online Lifetime Subscription" under "Activated Features" then you're good to go.

    I only have 'preorder' activated :(

    I know.... but I'm venting. I don't expect the forum to provide any resolve.... but if I kick up a fuss I'll feel better :)
