Is anyone else experiencing SEVERE lag when on the ground

Especially during combat on the ground, I am experiencing lag that makes the game almost unplayable (I'm sure when I get to harder missions it will start causing deaths).

I have a pretty good machine and It seems to be running at a great frame rate for 10-15 secs and then it just stalls and then works again.

I really don't think its a hardware issue on my end because during open beta this game ran much more smoothly.

it does not seem to be an fps issue. I have this issue at all levels of graphic settings. It seems like I am hitting lag spikes while on ground missions.

Anyone else?

yeah me too, oddly enough it is system lag though. I get very low FPS now when on the ground in stations. Not so much on missions though. Weird.

I always suggest new audio and video drivers for lagginess. It seems it is mostly the type of play. I never lag in space; occasionally lag in ground combat (love the rubberbanding animal chomping sounds); but starfleet HQ was the worst lag for me (this has gotten better though)
