Already a Admiral and several Captains online after only 3 days................................ok

First of all that shouldn't even be possible

Second, the people doing it make me wonder what the rush is? Finish it before having to buy it? Did they shower or eat? Oh yeah the downtime allowed for showering.

Those people are just in the game because it's a new MMO. Very few of those people want to absorb the entire experience of star trek online (such as crashes, DC's, lag, interesting mission scripts, exploring various systems and making new friends).

Either that or they desperately have sleeping problems.

Admirals? Very hard to imagine given all the downtime over the weekend.

For some people an MMO isnt something to be savoured and enjoyed. Its something to be conqoured.

I remember one guy in wow who made it to 80 within 2 hours or something of the level cap being raised (from 70) he had about 50 people in his guild helping him power level.

Seems pretty pointless to me, but they pay for the game just like you and me, so its up to them what they do with thier time. (Dont see point of critisiing thier cleanlyness habits either, it really is none of our business if they want to play like that :) )

I'd be looking to find out what exploit they used, this game is simply not structured to allow someone to grind out all the levels in 3 days.

it has to be some sort of exp exploit or redoable missions are too easy and pay out too much

The problem is, that those handfull idiots made Cryptic doing a sweeping XP nerf just before launch of CO!

I hope Cryptic has learned from that at doesn't TRIBBLE everyone over again, just because some idiots are exploiting their way to CAP in a couple days. And do a sweeping XP nerf in STO tomorrow as well.

As for STO it will be even more devastating. As it has even less content then CO.

Already been spammed by a credit farmer. Mostly like the same explot and/or dedication to grinding.

It's because Cryptic was negligent when designing the rank system. Five ranks at 10 levels each will be burnt through quickly in this game. When you skip ranks like Cryptic did this is what happens. If they already made admiral they have nothing more to work for.

It is thier play style, let them ejnjoy it. If they want to skip the dialog and power level all the way, let them enjoy it. Why are paying for thier own experience, NOT you paying for them.......

This being said as long as it is legal. Why do you assume because they got Admiral, they had to be hacking or exploiting? Because you cannot do it? I am LtC2, did I exploit my way to the rank since my fleet mate only hit Lt8?

apples and oranges, you think theres no issue because you are a few ticks over your fleetie? were talking 50 levels in 3 days.

sure, there may be legit ways of doing it, but I'll bet credits to navy beans theres an exploit too

Why worry about them? Does it matter? They can't pvp with anyone until everyone else makes Admiral. They won't enjoy any pve content now. I say that they only screwed themselves.

    Let them eat static.

Anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

If I was about 10 years younger and had no job or responsibilities... This might have been something I would have tried.

I say kudos to them as long as they didnt use exploits. I would imagine it had to include lots of grinding of a repeatable task that grants tons of XP. (But that is just me speculating out loud).

This may sound like a low blow (and maybe it is) I do have to add, I dont see how it was possible for ANYONE to make captain given the amount of time the servers have either been down or non responsive during the head start. At least during my peak playtimes EST. :(

that or they did a lot of pvp useing one of the overpower guns that one shots people. Ticks me off that Cryptic still hasn't ballanced pvp weapons or for that matter put in checks and ballances for pvp teams.

Yes, but it's hard to imagine how someone made 50 levels by now given all the downtime over the weekend without using an exploit. 50 levels. Not even close to being the same thing as the difference between Lt8 and LtC2. LtC2 is eminently doable. Heck I think even if people were dedicated and stayed up all weekend and played whenever the servers were up they could be in T3 already. But Admiral?

Does it really matter? Enjoy your game the way YOU want to play it. A player that advances faster or slower than you shouldn't affect your game play at all.

If said players are exploiting or abusing some type of system or bug, rest assured the developers have methods at their disposal to find out why. Eventually, hopefully, it'll get addressed.

If said players are just playing 24/7 and not sleeping/showering/eating, then they're enjoying the game in their own way. Just because it's not YOUR way doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad thing. Don't let it bother you so much; it doesn't really matter.

But agree.... let them have their fun, doesnt affect me any, Just goes to prove that its always important to someone to get to the top first. /shrug. i wonder how many of them spreak engrish.. :p

Well hopefully their files contain a record of their activity, so it would be easy to find out where the weakness exists.

Overall, I feel that allowing people to 'burn through content', is a bad thing. You end up creating a group of 'We Demand more End content Now' customers, and thus start having to spend more resources to keep them happy, rather than focusing on the entire game.

I agree here. I imagine when they do, there will be a rash of 'nerf rag' posts as well. People get upset when you take away their 'I WIN' button. :p

Would've have Lt.C 2 if I *hadnt* missed most of Saturday. People level at different rates, sure. 50 in 3 days? Nah.

There are a few exploits that Cryptic still has not fixed while makes you level fast. People likely did this to laugh at the devs

I realized whats going on when I noticed I had 8 private messages on forumns...........100k energy for 23 bucks.......these admirals are Chinese gold farmers, guys taking shifts to keep the toon going full time. Makes sense now. Not normal for a normal one person to get that high that fast.

Fleet Action repeating or Defend Sector XYZ repeating most likely Both return a decent amount of points.

Defend Sector you can really just do all three of your encounters by changing instance and then turn it in and repeat. Heck if your really lazy you can AFK it 15 minutes a cycle watching tv.

Or they might just be someone that has a lot of spare time even with the down time we are nearing the 80 hour up time that Cyrptic as stated is the average time it will take to cap. Average mean some will get there sooner others will take longer. I know some people took time off work just to play. They could be admiral by now if that is all they did was play this game straight maybe they napped during the down times.

Some people will rush to admiral then sell the accounts on e-bay. A couple of them has already advertised that fact on the forum. Note their names and report them if you want some fun. :p

Yes, I know of a few exploits both for PvE and PvP.

    Do I use them? No.

Do I think they could be used to level quickly? Ofcoarse.

Do I want them fixed? YES.

However, if someone literally spends 24/7 on a game and levels up legit, then by all means, if that's how they roll, let them I say.
