Is it just me, or does it seem to weight more heavily in favor of space missions? I'm speaking of the patrol and exploration missions. I did... a ton yesterday after the stability issues seemed to get sorted out, and I'd say that charitably 90% were space-based kill x fleets/squadrons/inspect anomalies, etc.
Cryptic, can you please adjust the weighting on this? If it's a straight random setting, please make it 50/50. I went for hours yesterday it seemed like without beaming down anywhere. Half the fun of Trek isn't just space battles -- it's getting out of the ships and going somewhere.
There do seem to be for space beased content than ground based content.
I really hope we can get this modified. It's not Trek without routine beaming down and surface exploring... what is it, every other episode, and multiple times in each film that this happens?
What you suggest could kill the game for me. I really didn't enjoy the ground missions in open beta but loved the space combat.
Since so much of it is random, maybe they could offer a slider/toggle thing per-character, similar to the "Difficulty Slider" in other games.
On this character, I play him (and have slotted him) a died-in-the-wool Starfleet Tactical guy: some space combat, but his main deal is the beam in, kick some TRIBBLE, rescue some people stuff. I'd go 75% beam down missions if I could, or better on him.
My other character, a Joined Trill, will be a science/explorer and I'd prefer more space-based there.

If you wanted to be a Picard, you're not going to be doing a ton of "beam in and kick the hell out of them" sessions.
But if you wanted to be a Kirk, you'd be all for beaming in and kicking the TRIBBLE out of a Gorn and getting into a "tussle" with that Orion girl.
