Yup, EU has a different "launch" date for retailers than the US, apparently (according to the devs) this is because traditionally games are released on a Tuesday in the US and a Friday in the EU.
By the way, don't worry about your headstart running out before you get the game, they're already allowing a "grace period" which allows the the headstart key to grant continued access to the game until the 8th I believe. However, they are watching the distribution of the boxes and may amend the grace period if necessary.
Grace period, yay. Thought I'd have to be game-less for a few days as the order says will arrive between the 8th-15th... Here's hoping it arrives the 8th.

My only worry is that the 5th is a Friday, and the 8th is a Monday. So that only gives the retailers one single to get the boxes to us in the post. Personally, I'm hoping that considering the grace period grants the US players 3 working days access beyond their launch date, that the EU players get the same (just for the sake of delivery). So in my opinion it should be extended to the 11th.

Guess they didn't count on Royal Mail. And don't count on your box turning the right day... or the right shape... or with everything in it...
Im not holding my breath for Royal Mail to deliver it A) to the right address, intact or C) On time so i ordered a digital deluxe copy too just incase. It is pretty bad though when you live in a country where the mail is less reliable than the weather...

European Retailers sell the game on February 5th.
