I just cancelled my pre-order: Game is permanently stuck

There are too many bugs to count. This was NOT as bad as the open beta.

I've been in the middle of the Starbase 24 mission for 5 hours. Each time I beam to the interior the game begins to lag then crashes. Is it an endless loop as I cannot beam away from the starbase without completing the mission, but I cannot complete the missions because the game crashes.

I've (thankfully) cancelled my pre-order from Gamestop - these bugs are unacceptable from a RTM title. Hopefully I'll be able to get back into STO in a month or two after all of the bugs are crushed, but at this time I don't feel like spending my hard earned money and time into a game that is unplayable.

FYI - Gamestop will cancel your preorders until Monday evening, but you're out $10 for the pre-order deposit.

Pretty sure you can beam out whenever you want, so long as you're out of battle. I've never been stuck on a planet before.. even mid-mission.

Have you even bothered trying the numerous fixes that have been suggested on the forums, to do with changing your graphics settings etc?

Well sorry to see you go. Come back later. The connectivity issues will be gone.

I guess I must be doing something wrong, because I haven't hit any gamestopping bugs.

Well... when the servers up, anyway.

If you ask them to, they'll transfer the money to another preorder. If there's another game coming out that you want, just do that.

You can, the OP just doesn't know the other way in the UI to beam out if he doesn't see the beam out on his screen to click.

    Cool story bro...

Oh, and tell your WoW guild they are failing at filling up the STO forums with hate threads. There are still threads saying how good STO is and how it will improve.

I suspect your next guild member will be online soon, to add yet another QQ thread, be sure to give him this message. You may have stopped a few people from buying, but the word is getting out, people are lining up to play.

You guys better pick up the pace!

New MMOGS have lots of bugs. If you cant stand unfinished buggy games then you should wait at least 6 months until you starta playing a MMOG.

You created a thread just for that. Could have save yourself some trouble and used one of the other "I cancled my pre-order" threads.
