Critical chance = expose chance?

The trait "lucky" which says it affects the critical and expose chance, but has only a +3% critical chance listed in it's effects made me wonder, if the critical chance (which you can also get by wearing a certain type of armor etc) affects your expose chance, especially the chance of kit powers.

Do expose attacks expose the target if the attack is a critical hit - and can a debuff like tricorder scan hit critically?

So, if I have 10% critical chance listed in my stats and the ability I'm using has a 10% expose chance, do I have a 20% chance to expose my target then?

    no, only expose weapons and ablities can cause expose. Crit is just crit chance on ground and space weapons.

    I really think it is true... with 10.5% crit chance, my 10% expose powers are defo exposing at insane amounts, compared to low crit chance characters... hmmm

    Using Integrated Targeting armor seems to help with exposes too.

    Yep, would be lovely to have a dev to clarify this point.. But actually makes sense since "lucky" trait only adds crit.. and notice that crit stat from weapons don't get added to the character stats.. so they do not increase expose. (if we are right)

    I remember a post from a long time back which put the base expose chance at 5%. The only way to increase this was with traits that effected expose chance, and I think there was a weapon modifier based on the type of weapon (dedicated melee was crazy high, though I think that changed somewhere along the line), also by ability and BO skill/level of expose power, and relative level difference (higher expose chance on lower level opponents). These are hazy memories of a long buried thread, so no guarantee on accuracy of the information now, especially as they seemed to change the expose chance sometime later to reduce the amount of exposes.

    AFAIK, it doesn't scale with crit chance, and never has.

    So here's a very fast way to test it..
    I made a new klingon char and went into the ring (first mission) without the CE armor (that has +5% crit) I got 1 expose in 50 melee hits with that armor I got 3 exposes in around 40 hits.. I would test more but too many people keeps coming and killing my mobs...
    but this really puzzles me..
