When your crew's story basically writes itself....

I had to share.

After getting to five, I made a mistake and picked up a second science officer when I needed an engineer. (For some reason, I pictured my Trill science officer in yellow instead of her standard blues when I hit the button. DOH.) I tooled around with a second for another level or so, then finally bit the button and went shopping for one when I next hit Sol.

My plans were to have the crew be all female, so that was foremost in my mind when I went through the list. Was about to grab a human woman - but then I saw a Klingon on the list.

...oooh. Okay, the all-female crew idea goes out the window when I see him, and he gets snapped up.

And his name outta the box, no changes, is ...."Chuk." Okay, not a GREAT name, but I can live with it.

But then the husband comes over and goes, "Chuk. He's in yellow and black. And your science officer is a red-headed girl. Does this remind you of something?"

Oh sweet saints.

So, we joke about that for a few more missions - and after dinging six, one of my missions ends with an ensign asking to join the crew. No, not a reward for mission complete - this was just outta the blue.

Another Klingon. (The husband wails that this is so unfair, he wants a Klingon too.)

This one is a tactical officer.

Named....Yugi.

Ever see that picture of Picard and Riker doing the double facepalm? That was me as the name popped up on my screen. My husband dissolves in hysterical laughter.

So I've got the head engineer that can't catch a break ever (and he probably did have the most insane pet targ on the planet), a redheaded girl that won't give him the time of day, and another Klingon tactician that probably spends his off hours mastering a children's card game...and the first person who learns of *that* besides his captain will get a batleth in the face.

No wonder my captain has Vulcan meditation as a hobby.

I am now afraid, yet hopeful, of what the randomizer will deliver to this crew next.

Dude, I think your crew is pretty awesome :D

So here's my funny story. I needed a new tactical officer (because my noob officer from the tutorial had lame skills), so I went to the requisitions office and got a female vulcan tactical officer. I asked her to join the crew, and the game informed me that I had just created T'Rusa. My character's name is T'Risa.

When I first went to make my Orion Engineering Boff in OB I grabbed a generic alien and it was named Riley. I ended up thinking of a backstory that would let me use this name and have it "fit" because I liked it so much.

The randomizer doesn't help me to much most of the time though because most of my boffs are from races I made with the race creator. Once I realized I could make a Xindi-Primate, that slowly evolved into "what cool hybrids can I make?" and I eventually ended up with my Andorian/Xindi-Primate hybrid.

She was my Engineering Captain beta and right now she's my main's Tactical Boff. I might make her into a Tactical Captain alt eventually because I really liked the concept.

Oh dear. Are they related, perchance? :)

My first BO went from Andorian female in the tutorial and transformed into a Vulcan female upon loading into the ship. She's tactical and I chose Engineer. *SHRUG* it seemed to work out fine my being a Liberated Borg I figure ok there must be some RP story added in for it later.

Second to join the crew was a Trill Science female with green a fauxhawk.

While that one was being outfitted for her costume a third random pop reward for umm standing in thee admirals office was an engineer of unknown yet looks like a red headed klingon.

Fourth turns up as a tac officer Andorian (might have been the first one that got stuffed in the closet by the Vulcan)

Assignment Pending Officers both green text but no race or gender given. Shapeshifters?

Possibly, although the Captain is only half Vulcan, while the tactical officer is a pureblood.
