Anyone else think Pink phasers have GOT to go... some things shouldnt be customisable

Not sure how this is being done but im seeing an increasing number of players doing it...

Pink photon torps and phasers and pink/blue/insert color here death explosions (and no they arent polaron beams on a tier 1 ship)

Please lock this "feature" down so colors are back in line with the Trek IP

/signed. Although it look like a feature from the engine they've simply forgot to remove, as in CO you can customise the colour of your powers through both the CLI and GUI.

They don't need to lock it down, but maybe make an option where players can set default colors only or to enable custom colors

that's if this is even happening. i have not seen any pink phaser beams or anything

I'm very secure with the sexuality and gender of my phasers. To each his own, I say.

/powerhue 0 100 <----change the last 3 digit number to anything from 0-999 to lock in a particular color. Do this for space and ground to set both.

I also agree with this... while being able to customize power colors in games such as champions online Is GREAT, its just silly in Star trek online..... it simply has no place in a game like this... You make sure the color tones for ships are subtle to keep immersion, and then you let people change theyr beam colors into all kinds of shock colors ? what the hell ? Tetryon is blue, Polaron is purple, and It should stay that way.

1: It breaks immersion into the star trek "universe", at the very least for me.
    2: Pink Plasma? its idiotic....
3: Messes with the Natural feel of weapon progression.
4: Damages tactical capabilities, as you can no longer tell what kind of weapon your enemy is using.

This simply has to go... Infact I dont see how the hell the IP owner would allow this..

The only way this would be Acceptable Is if each individual had to option to disregard any color changes made by other users.

yeah im thinking the same , fulll power color customisation is a feature in CO and i someones figured out how to "customize" beyond the devs intentions for STO...

Would hate to see the launch hurt even more than it has been when screenshots of pink/purple ship explosions start hitting the web

I'd be all over pink phasers!

Well no not really, but I'd prefer blue. I've got this thing about blue, everything is some color of blue or another in my home. Drives my fiance' crazy.

If people are hacking their game to change colors then I agree, it should be stopped. If it is an option somewhere, well then I give it a firm "meh..."

back in line with the trek IP? You mean intellectual property?
What does that have to do with Star trek energy weapons, which have been all kinds of colours over the years.

It's my game, I'll play it as I wish and the star trek geeks can go whistle their nerd rage elsewhere. This is not a role playing exersise for people living in mom's basement.

    acquire some grippage man.

To get pink, I think its around 30, so it would be /powerhue 0 30

I perfer a bright blue myself. Beams, torpedoes, special abilities, everything is blue :D

Easiest way is just go into a fleet action and play with the numbers. I think yellow was around 100 or 150, forget which.

Yea how do you even customize this? I'd like to play around with it, just to see what the other color beams look like.
