Purchasing Ship Equipment?

Does anyone know where a captain can purchase Mk III or Mk IV ship equipment?

Not the blue / green PvP or exploration stuff, but is there any plain white-quality Mk III or Mk IV stuff for sale anywhere?

I've found Mk V, and above...but there seems to be a gap or I'm not looking in the right place.

Go to the exchange at any starbase or Earth's Star Dock.

The exchange is laughable, at the moment.

I'm not paying 100,000 energy credits for a Phaser Dual Heavy Cannons Mk IV.

Fine, the green or blue gear, it's rare, etc... but is there really no white gear for sale by a merchant?

I'll have to look around in sector space, I guess. Was it ship equipment or ground firearms? I've seen those for sale.

On the open beta you could buy MKIII to V items at starbase 39 in the Federation/Romulan sector.

I haven't found one myself yet, but I know there's a Klingon Starbase right at the edge in the neutral zone and Qo'nos that you can go to as a klingon that sells cheap mk iv white gear.

Could always get a friend to help you smuggle some across faction lines :P

MkIII & MkV Sirius system in Alpha Centauri - don't think you can buy MkIv stuff.

    MkV+ from DS9.

For Mark IV items...do explore missions and earn Rank 2 explorer badges -- these will allow you to purchase MK IV gear from the starship equipment vendors at Sol Station.

I have not found MK III stuff yet...I might have to check out Starbase 39....

Is K7 for pvp gear only? I can't recall since I only pvp as a klingon.
