What have you started reading since you started playing STO?
I've recently started reading the novel Red Mars by Kim Stanley Robinson and have got through about half of it since i started trying to play Beta phase 2 the other day.

    Reading an off shoot of lovecraft mythos. The Tsathoggua Cycle. None if it is by lovecraft but its all things inspired by him. Also its pretty well done unlike some other 'inspired' works that end up being crappy rehashed horror with lovecraftian names slapped on it.

    The Deed of Paksenarrion by Elizabeth Moon.

    Along with A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin, one of the two finest fantasy series ever written.

    I share part of the opening intro for you folks that might want to look up the book.
    Introduction to The Tsathoggua Cycle wrote:

We never got over it, became life-ling cultist. One can observe precisely the same reaction on HPL's own part when he discovered Clark Ashton Smith's protege Tsathoggua, reading Smith's "the Tale of Satampra Zeiros" in manuscript. He announced to Smith, "As for me Tsathoggua made such an impression on my fancy that I am using him in the 'revision' (i.e., 'ghost-writing') job I am now doing telling of some things connected with his worship before he appeared on the earth's surface" (Dec 19, 1929).     and that is why I am such a fan of the mthyos many of Lovecraft fellow writers of the time traded ideas and characters in such a way to weave a greater meta story among them. Any ways if you like horror that is more then just murderers and slashers I suggest these guys they do some good stuff.

    But reading? no books, just playing dragon age origins.. tons of reading in that though.. Great game too

    Just finished Star Trek Enterprise The Romulan War: Beneath the Raptors Wing. Gotta love books where almost nothing happens and it's sole reason for existing is setting up the next book.......



    Right now I'm not reading anything. I'll start something new tonight. Either The Vampire Files by P.N. Elrod or Going Rogue by Sarah Palin.

    All joking aside, a fleet buddy told me about the Star Trek novel I, Q, and it sounds pretty damn interesting, so I bought a copy from Amazon today for only a penny. Of course, the shipping fees more than made up for that...
