The game is just one big headache. I had high hopes for it but you have taken what could have been something that would truly stand out in the gaming world and mad it trash. You won't listen to your customers. You won't add servers. I play games to relieve the stress of life and I was getting more stressed over this poor attempt at a game than anything else! It doesn't play like a mmo to start with...it's more like a regular single player game that you happen to be playing around other people. Plus you lump every player that you have in the world on 1 server?!?!? Who was the moron that came up with that idea guys? Well I canceled my preorder with amazon. Wish you hadn't got me all excited just to waste my time and let me down in a huge way. Bye

Try Eve online and they have over 54,000 people at one time..

Thank God another ragequitter! Im so happy! Happy that you are gone! Did you ever start to think about the fact that all MMO's start off this way? I've played Aion, and it was far worse there.
ok, I get it...your tired of the negative posts but if we can have a mature level headed conversation here.
Are you satisfied with the game?
Has Cryptic handled this game in the best manor not lacking in any regard?
Do you really believe Cryptic has done everything it could to ensure a smooth launch?
Do you find no fault in Cryptic what so ever?
Well, I can understand the guy's frustration. It isn't as if Cryptic hasn't gotten the word that they have a large audience waitiing for this thing.
I think that the big problem here is that Cryptic is using one server to login both Champs AND STO... on launch week. Doesn't that strike anyone as rather dumb? I've been on four games on the headstart weekend (EQ II, Age of Conan, COH, and LotRO) and none of them have had the downtime issues that this one has exhibited. There is something wrong at Cryptic's server farm and it's not evil or trollish to say so.
I'm not saying that I'm quitting the game, but Confed's frustration is legitimate. I would have put it a different way, but just because he reached his limit with it doesn't make him any less a fan or his money any worse to Cryptic.

Why is that? Are you of the opinion that mankind lacks the technological prowess to build and maintain
the required equipment to operate a game of this magnitude without these repeated errors? Do you
also believe the software and computer code needed does not exists and has not been written?

NERD RAAAAGGGGGGGGEEEEEEE
chill out, and try not to post in a wall of text please.
And there are no lengthy loading screens to get into a mission.
And I've yet to see a loading screen take so long, that the game boots you out to the login queue again.
^just happened to me^
Yes, because Eve never had any problems that required the evaluation/testing/purchase of large scale and very expensive equipment to fully fix an issue caused by massive concurrency...
I'm not an apologist for Cryptic (have been quite vocal about their short dev cycle and how I believe they are following the CO model of strip mining the market for as much cash as possible then ignoring the fallout), but the rants around here are just far off base. No responsible dev from any company is going to throw hardware at a problem without careful consideration and testing. This means the problem won't be fixed overnight.

Indeed they do. Fortunately they don't have instances limiting areas to 50 people or so.
NO YOU CANT
It's all been bound.
And yet... there is hardly ever a queue to login.

No you can't. he couldn't log in to get stuff for you to have it.
One less sub for the game = less addons = we all loose. Except Bioware of course. Are you working for them ?

Instead they have solar systems limiting people to a certain number, unless you let ccp know that there will be more people in it. :P
