Queue is bugged, here's how to prove it

SystemSystem Member, NoReporting Posts: 178,019 Arc User
So I took a tip from another post and started a second instance of STO on my machine. I ended up being 46 of 46 in the queue. That's a lot better than the 1244 of 2148 I was at the moment. Low and behold I ended up loggin in, in less than 2 minutes on my second instance. Once in, I closed out my second instance that was still queue'd up to 2000 people wanting online.

You should be banned for a week, you bad man

People!! if you log in on another instance of STO you will kick your old one off, which means you go further back in QUEUE and this guy gets ahead one, either be patient or play something else while you wait so that it seems like you're being patient

I got in when I was #256. Started and finished a quest, was about to start another and then got kicked back to the queue. Now I'm 424 of 791.

seriously though, my position hasn't dropped in 15 mins now, are we seriously saying not one person has logged out in that much time, not one person has crashed, not one person has had to go somewhere, do something.

I like the idea of a queue, if it genuinely told you where you were in it.

    THERE IS NO QUEUE :P

it's totally borked if you just hit cancel and keep trying you get back in anyway without waiting done it twice now

there really needs to be a priority relog for people kicked within say the last 2-3 minutes tho as going queue- 5min play - kicked off - requeue is getting a tad silly

Why is it that I am still 46th in the Queue to log in, the number of people in queue grows, but my position never changes? And how can YOU be 46th in the Queue if I am 46th in the Queue?

Is 46 a magic number for the people who will never get in?!

This queuing lark is ridiculous, I hope this isn't the case when the game is launched.

I've never played a game where there was a queue.......in fact the only thing like this I've ever heard of was waiting to play arcade games in Home which is why I'll never use Home. I really hope this gets fixed because if this is a feature and not a bug I refuse to pay a monthly fee.

My boyfriend and I play in the same room. I'm currently 440/747, he's 403/809. Clearly we're not in the same queue. My best guess is that there are multiple queues so you don't freak out at the high numbers. Either that or it's random and just picks an arbitrary amount of time to block you, and creates a pseudo queue to make you think you're waiting in line versus just sitting there waiting out a timer.

The queue is definitely bugged. I got to 94, then sat there for 15 minutes and it never changed. I relogged in and bam, I was dropping in position. What got to me was the Out of kept increasing/decreasing but my 94 never changed.

The "out of" would keep changing as people stopped trying to log in or more people tried. Of course, your number should actually get smaller.

Earlier I was at 200+ for twenty minutes, then it just logged me in without counting down any further. Very weird.
