and star wars the old republic.
I can't wait for ST:OR to come out and probably have a launch the same as this one. The irony will be delicious.

Right now I'm looking for a way to get a refund before the game actually goes live. As I'ts certainly not gonna happen once my subscription clock starts ticking. The game may improve after it goes live....but is it really worth the risk? If the problem is population size, the problem is only going to get worse.

Oh sure SW:TOR will be so much better. As every MMO since the invention of queues. It will have the same launch procedure, bugs, complications and customer rage wars on the forums. Its the same iteration of online-life since 1980 and we all buy MMOs just to be part of that. The game becomes boring after this step for the most.

So true - I am looking forward to TOR, but am under no illusions that it will be any different to any other MMO release.

don't blame Bioware for good products because all other mmo's suck at it. Blizzard and Bioware are TOP dog companies, and sony is the walmart of them all

This game (SW:TOR) will have the same amount of issues if not more, believing any differently is not only ignorant, but shows a lack of intelligence. End of thread.

It's not a matter of saying their doing a **** job..the matter is there should have been no way in hell we should be hitting queues before the game even releases..They should have seen weeks ago with the number of pre release sales that they should have had a lot more servers up.

I would if they would let me. but keep in mind with teh team they have they have pretty big ego. I bet everyone is pointing fingers and no one is stepping up to fix the problem. Worse yet no response from them means this will be just like SOE and SWG. instead of fixing any issues they will just rewrite the code and game and hope it fixes by magic.

I;m asking for a refund on monday when thier offices open up. this is rediculas. i expected some downtime. This service is horrid.

yeah because you know whats going to happen, because you have the power to know all. all i said was it will have a much smoother release, I never said perfect, and they are using Hero Engine, Best MMO engine on the market not even companies like Cryptic can afford, i did my research why not do your own?

    I want in on that.....

    $500.00 is my bet....

Most likely you will have the same problems there....

And i do not understand why people can not understand that this is not just about getting a server....

There is a finance department, they hate spending money. There is a development team, they love money. There is a IT departement, they want more money to buy servers.... To eb able to do that, they will have to ask finance for the funds, finance will then say: Why do you need more servers, then IT has to provide proof that the servers are needed.

Then the servers will be ordered, will take about a week to get there, 2 days of setup, 1 day of testing, then we can go live, unless there is a problem with the new server. In that case we need to add a couple of more days, plus a few hours of testing again.

And to say what i have said before, these servers are not the kind you buy at your local computer store, or small business centre, they are massive blade servers which cost between $35-50,000 per unit...

Anyway, please leave and do not come back, there is more then enough people that understand this point, and do not carry on like a baby...
