Server queues with JUST the pre-ordered players. This is absolutely ridiculous. I am absolutely canceling my pre-order because of this garbage.

And to the guy posting the copypasta about STO not being the only game with queues, at least those other games (like WoW) have SEPERATE SERVERS you can play on, with lower populations. This pile of TRIBBLE has ONE server, which apparently holds 20 players at once.

Nope. While its not acceptable, you need to release this isn't uncommon for a MMO at launch. There have been far worse head-starts and releases.

This is expected for any MMO release. While we can speculate about what they should have done ahead of time, it won't do any good. Now they know the problems and will work to fix them.

Forgive me for saying but this sounds like STO has broken it's expectations. So either they projected lower than average OR the demand was extremely high.

Or they figured they'd half-TRIBBLE it, save some money and stupid people (e.g. me) would pay them anyway.

Actually he does have a point and I myself are on the verge of cancelling, whats the point of paying for the game if you don't ever get to play it?

You've NEVER gotten to play it?!?! Wow.

I was in the queue for like...10 minutes. There are 1440 minutes in a day. I'd say the ratio is OK

because most MMO's have server problem the first few day's to about a week. it will be fix, and all MMO's have problems like this at launch.

    first MMO launch?

Name other mmos with this problem at lauch? I can't think of one. Seriously, these guys are failing. They had beta for a reason. Beta is over! If you side with them after this, they won't do anything to fix it. This is freaking lame. We deserve some sort of compensation.

Ok, I'm just about out of faith with this company. Queues on early access? Can you imagine after it goes live on prime time?

    Wow, just wow.

Seriously? Since when does anything actually meet expectations?

But yeah, this fell short of what I'd hoped, after expecting highly... This is one of the final straws for me, I mean, server outages every 8 - 10 hours, and now queue's... I'm a paying customer, just like everyone else yes, but I pay to play, not to be bombarded by downtime and queue's...

Bunch of whining crybabies! Just cancel your accounts and go away.

There is a queue because the system can't handle the load. They can't take teh game down for 12+hrs to fix it over the weekend.

Chances are it will goes down monday night for 10-12hrs so they can do REAL work, but they can't do it while people are playing.

So to help keep the servers from lagging and crashing, they limited the # of people

I'm actually #679 out of 1223. It will prob take me an hr to get in, but once I'm in I'll be on a more stable server.

Sure, you all have the right to complain, but stop being babies about it.. the STO universe willl be better off w/o you

I believe this was their plan ALL ALONG. Come on, you cant tell me they didn't have this planned. This isn't their first game you know.

What a fiasco. Can you imagine prime time hours once this game goes live?

    Good luck.

Frustrated yes. 3rd day of constant disconnects, SERVER NOT RESPONDING, and now a que. Ive been able to play less than I did in beta. I will however not cancel, I am hopefull and when I am able to play its frigin awsome. There are kniks oh yes, but Im in the long haul. Just wish I hadnt wasted 3 vacation days to play the head start. And yes I am the optimist and always look to the future. Just hope they figure it out and dont go belly up that would be worse than a few lost days. I think if the die hard trekers and the fans like I keep optamistic they'll fix instead of fold.

Don't Mess With My Bubble!! This is only my opionion and so many others share theirs.

I have to agree with OP. In beta they should have known how many beta keys were given out and shouldn't have given more out then their server could take. In retail they must have a list telling them how many copies were sold. At the very least they could have got enough servers in for the head starts, let alone the total number of retail copies sold.

It finally changed for me. Down to 115 from 116. I guess people just aren't logging out often.
