Weird Tribble Bug!

SystemSystem Member, NoReporting Posts: 178,019 Arc User
I got *a* Tribble as a drop from some Orions.

Now I have 10, and my Vulcan Spice Tea, Earl Grey Tea, Klingon Raktijino, and other foodstuffs are missing from my inventory! They were replaced by Tribbles!

Weird coincidence? Bug? Part of the super-secret patch?

Maybe the Tribbles were given the same hex code as the food, and they overwrote that code?

It's both amusing *and* annoying!

Yes, this has been in since Beta that Tribbles will multiply if you have foodstuffs in your inventory.

And it is NO bug, it is what they do!

    Death to all Tribbles!

    This is not a bug.

Anyone familiar with the original show knows that Tribbles multiply when put in storage with food. The devs brought that into the game. It is working as intended. I've even been told by fleet members that Tribbles don't like Klingons after they gave one to their Klingon BO.

The only bug the Tribbles had was growing to immense size when petted. That bug has been fixed.

I'm glad that they help my character with an out-of-combat heal.

I'm also glad that the Devs have a sense of humor where Tribbles are concerned. Of course, I wish the Tribbles would've left me the Earl Grey and Vulcan Spice teas. They were welcome to the Snail Steaks.

different tribbles have different effects when used.

some heal, some give a damage buff, others give resists.
There are uncommon and rare tribbles to found too, these give a bigger buff. the pre-order tribble is one of those kinds.

It's a minigame. you can breed new and different tribbles by giving your tribble different foods.
