Things to make the game a little "cooler"

I've only been playing the game since open beta and I like it a lot but there are some things that I think could give the game a bit more polish and immerse us a little more. These are just my opinions.

1) Space Explosions - There seems to be only 1 space explosion animation. It's a good one but the same one all the time. One thing I really enjoyed about EVE was that the ship explosions seemed "epic". I would love to see a little bit more of that in this game. Having the ships destruct differently would be way cool too. Maybe even leaving behind a charred hull or something.

2) Galaxy travel - There is one sound effect that seems to play the entire time when in warp and it's this whooshing sound. I'm not sure what that sound is or what it relates to but I would love to hear that Star Trek long range scanner sound. I've been trying to find a clip to post but can't seem to find it. I hear it every once in a while in the beginning of a mission.

3) Combat armor - It would be cool to be able to customize the look of the combat armor. I spend so much time making sure my entire officer crew has the exact same uniform then whenever I am on the ground everyone looks the same because of the combat armor. Another idea would be to just be able to hide everyone's combat armor.
-- Ok so this has been in the game but because of the complete lack of documentation I missed it. You just need to right click on the combat armor and hide it. Same with the kits.

4) Crew - In the space view you guys changed the crew counter to little people from just a bar but I still don't have a visual idea of how many people are in my crew compliment unless I mouse over them. Having the little people visually match the numbers of crew members would be cool. That way when I lose half that bar I can say "omg...I just lost 300 crew members" vs. "omg...I just lost 7/8 of my crew member bar".

5) Space Target - it would be nice to see the direction of the ship in real time. I little 3D representation of your target would be nice so you know when to expect that volley of 4 torps. This may be a little harder to manage but would add value as well.

6) Shuttle Pets and other Space Pets - I know the Taco Shuttle isn't a combat pet but it would be cool if it just flew around your ship and shot at your targets...just for effect...no dmg. I don't know if you get combat pets later but the shuttle is really worthless, even as a vanity item. Also, allow this thing to be out at all times and remove it from a valuable item slot.

7) This wouldn't make it any cooler but would help functionally. We need a vendor and bank in Memory Alpha. "Zoning" takes too long from Sol to MA and I don't want to have to keep my inv filled with scanned items and base tier gear to upgrade. Either give us a giant crafting cargo hold or banks in MA.
--They added this...MA is no longer painful to visit and I found out that you can craft with data and base items in your bank.

Anyway, just a few ideas that seem like they would be easy to incorporate and would add a bunch of value. My 2 creds worth...

    8) It would be nice to see some wildlife on all of these uncharted worlds. I have played STO to Admiral 5 and havent seen a single creature. Aggressive and non-aggressive creatures would add a lot to away missions.
