Not sure if its a bug or intended, but I'm unable to set two phasers to auto-fire on my forward Arc of the Miranda class. Whenever I hit one, it automatically turns off auto-fire for the other.

that's actually normal. you can only have 1 autofire item per arc. I kinda want them to change it as well, but they may not do it.

this is indeed ridiculous. I don't want to pmlay a shooter but an rpg ...
    Same on ground mission.
Don't want to break my mouse or keybord by banging on it all the time !!!

    Heres a solution:

Remove auto fire. It makes people lazy.
If you cant control weapons properly you have problems.

Yeah, because not manually spamming buttons that have absolutely no resource cost, no positional effects, and absolutely no reason not to engage it as soon as available means you're lazy.

Exactly. I don't know what the problem is here, but my hands AND keyboard are both very important to me, and slapping the spacebar key does not improve my skill, but rather ruins my hands and keyboard. Seriously, this is ridiculous. I'm beginning to wonder if the lifetime subscription was worth it.
