NOT a petition! Seriously, it's not. Just interested to see who else would like it back.
For some reason I can't find my previous thread about this. It's like the forum had a 2 week rollback or something.
Anyway the game is almost unplayable for me in space. I took me 20 minutes to enter Earth Spacedock today, just like OB when I had to click for 20 minutes.
At least with that checkbox I could log off on the bridge then choose a not full instance, but now it's ridiculous without the checkbox.
Come on Devs, either bring back that checkbox or fix it so people aren't sent to an almostt full instance when loging in or changing areas. Please?
Guys I just spent 2 hours (Seriously) trying to get to Sector Space to no avail because the channel was full or close, and I was laging horribly. If I try to change channel it kicks me after the instance chooser finally appears.
Loging off on the bridge was the only way to avoid getting sent to a full insttance before, but the checkbox got removed without explanation. The game was almost completely playable, even on my connection, if only I'd get to choose instance. But now I totlaly lag in space and can't change instance or I get kicked off.
Meeting up with fleet members is hell without it.
If in a team, everyone scatter to different instance because if one gets full the whole team isn't taken to the one that can fit the whole team.
An other thing this does it pushes you in to the enemy encounters which mean you can't leave the computer for a minute while travelling through sector space. Which is so amazingly boring because it is so slow. If you had the instance changer at least you would get a warning and have 30 seconds to cancel that change of instance.
This was really the only way for people to choose an instance (To meet up with fleet/friends and avoid full instances). Can anybody even see friends/fleet when changing instances manually? Like CO shows if there's any friends or guild in the area you're about to go to before you go to it. This is a step backward from the working system on CO. Really, if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it.
I seriously can't play like this. Instances cap at 50 instead of 100, the game deliberately forces you into close to full ones on changing areas/loging in, and the problem is worsened with all the recent disconnects.
Why in the world would they remove it, seriously? This was the only way I could comfortably play, personally. Guys please keep this thread up.
Signed. Seriously, my boyfriend and I have a hard time getting into the same instance with enemy contacts and fleet ops. Previously we could both coordinate which instance to jump to *before* entering. This is a pain in the rear quadrant.

I imagine they will put it back in once they figure out how to fix it.
For those that were unaware of the bug: When you were in system, you could press the button to warp to sector and see the warp animation, then it would bring up the sector instance list, and if you clicked cancel, your would stay in the system, yet be invisible. Enemies wouldn't target you, but you could still deal them damage.
To the first page! A lack of the checkbox is very inconvenient.
Whatever the reason, they need to fix the bug. We can cancel on CO and not fade from eexistence. They should just not animate the character into "zoning out and not there" mode until an instance is chosen, not before an instance is chosen. I dunno how complicated their game code is but it seems like a simple reordering of what code executes when.
If instance chooser checkbox = true and (zoning into another zone = true or loging on = true), show instance choosing interface. If instance chosen, move character/ship to the area and play warp/transport cutscene. If cancel pressed, do nothing. They had the scene play before so the character or ship body would fade out of existence but not change instances if cancel was preessed.
Midday bump. I wish a dev would confirm or deny the invisibility bug was why this was taken out and when the inconveience caused by it's removal will be remedied.
I play MMO's to play with friends. We get on, we team up... If I can't reliably get into the same instance with other players in MY TEAM, I'm going to be moving on to another game. This issue is going to turn off a LOT of people used to easily finding and grouping with their friends.
DEVS! This game MUST keep teams in the same instance, or you're going to FAIL!

Or at least tell us the / command!
But when you are first zoning into the zone you cannot choose your instance, you are automatically zoned into the instance.

p.s add a enter empty instance as well.
rit really makes fleet operations and teaming a pain without it.

Why not have the game LOOK for instances where a team can fit in, and if none available create another instance.
To some degree I do see an improvement over beta.... at least it seems the server Tries to keep your team in tact..but it doesnt always work.

Please, bring it back!
Thank you!
Agreed: Vote+1
Not being able to meet with friends or fleet members.
