Can you fix these bugs... I normally play around this time (at night) and it seems every single time i try to play there is either an unscheduled downtime or a scheduled one....
Example right now just got kicked out of the game and now everyone is stuck at retrieving character list screen......
I mean all these functions are on the back end, Databases/servers/clusters - I'm not sure how you have everything setup but it needs to be more redundant then this in less your expecting only 1,000 people to play this game..... this sucks.. i'm really second guessing buying the game if 80% of the time i have tried to play it's down..
I understand it was beta so I wasn't judging at the time... but now its the head start - last night it was down and once again tonight down again... this is beyond frustrating especially for me who can't sit at home and play all day long this is my little window to actually play and the game is crashed.
yes. i am getting this message too. stuck at retrieving toon. everyone is asleep right now cause that is what normals do?

Well I work in the IT field and whenever you have an operation that is 24/7 like this - you have an "On CALL" person or team that responds to emergencies like this - also they should have some type of system operations/monitoring tool that alerts them when servers or services are down
all that stuff is easily configured with little effort and can be done from home without having to drive into the office..
I am hoping that someone from Cryptic is even aware* there's a problem.. sayz the server is still up but it seems everyone has now been having this logon at character problem now for over 30 minutes...
I hope the Cryptic team hasn't left for the weekend.. hopefully there's still a janitor or someone around on the premesis who can plug the darn server back in for us all...

i turn peoples cell phones off monday - thursday for not paying their bills. and i have been drinking, was kind of thinking about flying my spaceship around and shooting some stuff. but maybe tomorrow.... if the servers are not being maintenance.

they are hand selecting bacon strips in the Appalachian mountains from baby piggies that are raised in little pens and are not older than a year old and have spent their lives being messaged by Budapest monks.
their mobile devices are not receiving a signal because of their altitude or because i turned them off on Thursday.

HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA. Janitor. HAHA.
Seriously though, they have an on-call person, likely they have a 24/7 staffed NOC, including a graveyard guy... unless they suck and can't afford to pay someone $16/hr to watch a screen. If that's the case, they must not have very many subscriptions
Anyway, he's probably pooping or smoking or heating up a hot pocket. I know I probably would be.
