Same problem as last few crashes it appears. Stuck at Retrieving Character list. Problems with the Account Server not being able to handle the load? Still haven't gotten a fix in place?
well, judging from cryptic's other games and how their beta's went, this is pretty normal for cryptic. Is that to say that we can't be unhappy with it, no. We just need to understand that these hardworking people are doing their best to keep the servers up for us to play. When you release a new game, you have these problems. Could we chastise them for not figuring this all out during beta, yes. Should we, no. C'mon people, this is Star Trek, the fans are in the millions and range over several generations. I mean the next best thing to star trek is more star trek followed by more star trek. We must keep the faith!

...still no word. Communication isn't there strong point, and I understand it's late... I'll give them a half hour post crash before I get annoyed that they haven't posted a "it's F*CKED again!" post.
I have been trying to tell you people for weeks this is not CRYPTIC it is THE BORG! WHEN are you all ever going to learn. They are assimilating the servers. When you log in on Tuesday it will be your computer a@# as they will assimilate everything you have!
What are all of you going to do when the borg assimilate all that TRIBBLE on your hard drive! They will turn into Orgy Cubes? Is it possible to assimilate that much data anyway?

Err, no way they could figure it all out during Beta. The number of people playing now is obviously way up from them.
I'm agreeing with you, we need to be patient, and I fully expect problems for a few weeks as they find the magic formula for the number of players they get.
But obviously they have gotten way more customers than they had in Beta. And yes, they got hammered that first week in OB. That is what stress testing is for.
I imagine there is a Hardware salesman out there that is going to have a very good month this month from Cryptic.

Depends greatly on the degree of awareness of the people sitting about the server room...
For instance, at this moment, I do believe the cleaning guy is on duty, more than likely, he's scratching his head, looking at that wall outlet and that wire, wondering why life is so complicated...
But then again, I could be wrong... It vould be a woman....
