Hi, firstly I dont want to get drawn into a flame war on the subject of Head start vs Beta and whether we should be annoyed about the downtime or not.

Personally I think it is a great game and over the next few months all the little kinks will get ironed out.
All I ask is for an ETA on when the game will be back again as I want to know whether I should go to bed or not?!

People dont seem to be able to comprehend its the excessive desperation to get back onto a game thats causing the servers to stall, in essence causing the problem their complaining about. the ETA for it to be back up is when people stop tryign to login every couple of seconds!!!

Well, 5 hours of downtime in 29 hours isn't terrible, yet. The clock is still ticking.

What if it's the 5 hours you set aside to play? .... man, that would suck.

So....... time for Death Matches name your hero, and person below will name his Attacker and why he/she should win. Lets keep it Trek only though.

I'll start it off with the King of all heroes --- Kirk ( It took 2 people to fill his boots in next Gen, Pikard and Riker)
    So bring it on. :D

AoC's headstart was delayed 6 hours and then they took down the servers i think 4 times all of them lasting 2-3 hours during their 3 day headstart on top of repeating crashes I think there was only 20 playable hours or less.

Back to the Future is a 1985 American comedic science fiction film directed by Robert Zemeckis, co-written by Bob Gale and produced by Steven Spielberg. The film stars Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly, as well as Christopher Lloyd, Crispin Glover, Lea Thompson and Thomas F. Wilson. Back to the Future tells the story of Marty McFly, a teenager who is accidentally sent back in time from 1985 to 1955. He meets his parents in high school, accidentally attracting his mother's romantic interest. Marty must repair the damage to history by causing his parents to fall in love, while finding a way to return to 1985.

Zemeckis and Gale wrote the script after Gale mused upon whether he would have befriended his father if they attended school together. Various film studios rejected the script until the box office success of Zemeckis' Romancing the Stone, and the project was set up at Universal Pictures with Spielberg as executive producer. Eric Stoltz was originally cast as Marty McFly when Michael J. Fox declined as he was busy filming the TV series Family Ties, but during filming Stoltz and the filmmakers decided Stoltz was miscast so they asked Fox again and he managed to work out a timetable so he gave enough time and commitment to both: the subsequent recasting meant the crew had to race through reshoots and post-production to complete the film for its July 3, 1985 release date.

When released, it became the most successful film of the year, grossing more than $380 million worldwide and receiving critical acclaim. It won the Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation and the Saturn Award for Best Science Fiction Film, as well as Academy Award, BAFTA and Golden Globe nominations. Ronald Reagan even quoted the film in the 1986 State of the Union Address. In 2007, the Library of Congress selected it for preservation in the National Film Registry, and in June 2008 the American Film Institute's special AFI's 10 Top 10 acknowledged the film as the 10th best film in the science fiction genre. The movie marked the beginning of a franchise, with Back to the Future Part II and Back to the Future Part III released back-to-back in 1989 and 1990, as well as an animated series and theme park ride.

I work for the nations largest high speed internet provider and our terms of service and user agreement states the same ting. Guess what sparky? It doesn't matter millions still call in when service drops be it internet, cable or phone. It's not what is in the agreement it what people expect and in this case it's a headstart weekend that we paid for, waited for, some took time off work for.

Setting expectations and customer service are the most things lacking in most any large company what makes the difference is IMPROVING those areas. With that in mind there was a closed beta and open beta to tweak/resolve the major issues in the game to have them ready. A good example of that is server stability first, game play second etc...

    Shut up,

I hate people who always feel the need to be superior.
GO away. no one likes you.

(tries really hard to make drama)
