Currently, the Star Trek Online Server is up. We are aware of this issue and are currently working to bring the server back offline as soon as possible. Please keep an eye on this page for updates, and notification when Star Trek Online is unavailable again. Thank you, The Star Trek Online Team
Lolz. I hope this doesn't become the reality. I feel bad for the folks who got lifetime subs. They should be allowed a refund.
Status updates need to happen more often than once every 2+ hours. And if they have been happening, but are hidden somewhere within this 200 page thread, they should be edited onto the original post for ease of locating.
Q: How many Klingons does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: TWO: One to TRIBBLE it in, and one to stab the other in the back and
take all of the credit.
AAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH yet another doofus chimes in compensation for something they didn't PAY for.
Now, to be fair....
Let's say he paid $39.99 for the game
Let's say the downtime lasts 3 hours
A month (31 day month) of subscription costs $14.99
I would say that Cryptic 'owes' us $0.08!
I'll tell ya what, all those who are clueless enough to thing complaining on a forum and demanding their money (apparently $.08) back....I'll give you each $0.10 to just go away and never come back.
On another note, Anyone near A Del Taco or have codes for any of their content? There is only one Del Taco in all of OHIO. It is in Toledo, I am in Columbus.
If cryptic really cared or hand any brains, they would bring more servers online, like they have promised for weeks to do. This just shows how much they don't care about keeping their word to us players. TAKE A LESSON FROM BLIZZARD. OPEN MORE SERVERS!!!!!!!
I have been through over sixty MMO launches at last count and Cryptic is by far the best company at launching
an MMO.
They have the -least- downtime and the -least- launch bugs of any company I've seen. If any of you were there at the launch of CoH, you'll understand.
A few hours of downtime in the first few days is -nothing- compared to the issues the majority of launches go through. Does anyone recall AoC's launch with experience Exploits that had been reported but not addressed before it went live? Does anyone recall what they did? If you do, then you'll see why that company is a child compared to Cryptic.
How many people were there at the launch of WAR? That was one disaster after another. I wouldn't even call it launched even now at this point.
I wonder how many people remember EQ, PT, AO, and etc launches. They all had MAJOR downtime at launch. I'm not talking about a couple maintenance schedules and an unscheduled crash. I'm talking being down for the entire day and having the launch pushed back. One of those was pushed back a WEEK. I mean come on.
The selfishness and idiocy of these people drops my already low faith in humanity even lower.

There is nothing free of charge in the world
Think about it
Do you really think that someone other than the gamer pay for it in the end
Story of your life ain't it? have some pie.
whos there?
Yes.
No.
My best guess is that they're trying to fix what caused the crash so it doesn't happen again.
If you want to share PM me.
Day 2 has downtime o-noes.
