Theres nothing wrong them, unless your a baddie. Then I can see them being hard.

All they have is alot of heath, their damage is down from beta.

how is thier damage down from beta? In closed beta they were alot easier and that sucked.. Open beta they got some power but not this bad.. now I am getting hit one time and dead. Sometimes 2. They usually ignore my team and go straight for me when I havent even fired a shot. Then sometimes the AI goes dumb and they stand thier and take it.. so I dunno what is going on already been bugged but still I just dont know

never have had a problem with either of these classes. I usually just have my whole team target them first and eliminate em quickly.

I'm sorry. Are you threatening me over the internet?

    No, really?

I'll send you an private message with my f'ing address and phone number if you want it. That's how little I care about any threats you might make to me.

I haven't had a prob with 'em. Target them first, out of range, with a knockback/stun attack, and have your entire away team focus on that target first. If/when they get up close, use melee attacks to drive them back followed by stun attack again. Their melee attacks DO hurt quite a bit. Upgraded personal shield and armor helps a LOT.

*Has Sniper Rifle of some sort*

    *Enemy sighted*

    2. 1. 1. 1. 1. 2. (If not dead by now, repeat process until it is)

If facing Swordmasters of other close combat types, throw a few random 3's in to the equasion.

    Profit!

now the nomral what I call cannon fodder ones are easy but the ones that are commander level just one cut me. Not sure why. They come at u head up with dual disuptors shields gone then some how cut me from the other side of the room and bam dead. Then theirs the time where they dont seem to be so over powered and those are the ones that are above my level as I said I dunno what is going on maybe an AI issue. I really should watch combat log.

Try picking off the weak types first. "Warriors" etc.

If a Targ Handler or two are around always get them first since they keep spawning Targs two at a time.

Leave the officers/Swordmasters for last since your crappy AI teammates can focus on them with you.

thats what I usually do small fry first then the big one. Their really not the issue they die quickly some reason the sword masters just kill me. The only way I can seem to survive their onslaught is to send in my npcs keep him busy I go in from behind and kill him. Really dont like having to do that. Dont like fighting like a romulan.

Seriously, Like Khabok Said your actually threatening us over the internet ?

And furthermore legal action are you special or something how the hell can you take legal action over comments made over the internet on a game.

I'm sorry for weeks you have trolled about everything being too hard and putting your fingers in your ears saying " LALALALALALALALA" everytime someone actually has a different oppinion.

Enough is enough learn to play the game or shut up.

The Swordmasters do seem to have actually been toned down a bit since Open Beta. That said, killing the early ones was easy compared to when you get to places like the USS KIrk or Breaking the Ice.

Swordmasters need to have their ranged dual disrupters toned down. Those guys waste shields FAR too quickly.
These guys are meant to be swordmasters yet they have ranged capability beyond Klingons with rifles, knock down and when they get into melee they can slice you up in seconds. Fortunatly, being a Borg drone with neural blast has actually helped me nail these guys rather effectively but it dosent change the fact these NPCs are out of range for their fellow Klingons at similar levels.

These guys automatically go for the player quite frequently and their dual combo of extreme ranged damage followed by melee damage is unreasonable to expect from a single NPC. IF they are meant to be SWORDmasters then fine, take away their ranged attack or tone it down.
Nevermind that when there is more than one these things can easily insta kill someone with their ranged attack. This happened quite frequently on Breaking the Ice and the USS Kirk.

I'm sorry but this topic is a joke. The game can't always be "easy mode" for everyone and as far as i know not a very large proportion of people are finding it that hard.

So i imagine OP you have little patience or persistance, and seriously the swordmasters are way weaker than they used to be in CB and OB so sussh :)

i had trouble with them at first also. you cant stay kneeling or stand there if they run up to you. keep mobile and tell your team to focus fire him. also, put on some good physical resist armor and rifle butt em..

they were alot easier in closed and open beta then they are now. I been playing since October and this is the hardest I've ever seen them. Sorry that your playing of the game is different then others and that is wrong because someone finds one thing a bit difficult u have to attack that person because their giving their opinion and you think your point of view is that only one that matters but welcome to the real world where everyone is different.

one thing I find funny about rifle butt is I was using it earlier on one and kept hitting him over and over and he stooed his ground so I backed up to a corridor... hoping he owuld keep focusing on my team instead of me but following me cut me through a cargo container but I couldn't hit me at all with anything.

I usually take out the Handlers first because I dislike the endless stream of attack pets that nip on our faces. When I have to fight a Klingon Swordmaster, I usually kill off the easy stuff off first and then the rest of the team rips the swordman apart. I either stun it, root it, use the rifle to smash in it's face and kite it around so the rest of the away team can get flanking bonuses. My number one weapon to use in this situation is the snipe rifle. Sometimes you get a good crit and quickly take out the sword sticker.

Reality check, We have been here before with the space combat and you lost that one because the majority who found it easy was 150+ to the 15 or so who found it hard.

Same thing for this, No one is complaining but you.

And serious Sword masters not one has killed me since the start of OB when I didn't know what i was doing that first time, Since then zero deaths so your obviously doing something totally wrong.

If you properly take advantage of the Expose/Exploit system in place and direct your away team to focus fire on high priority targets (like officers and swordmasters) they drop like a rock. It's really not that hard.

In fact, you should actually like high priority targets coming after you. That means they run past your away team so they can all have flanking chances to pile on that much more damage.

Learn to Expose targets, carry a sniper rifle, and pop the Exploit when it flashes.

one question I have is and I havent really noticed is do you get xp for killing the handlers pets? if you do I've never noticed usually I am to busy to notice the handlers are really easy though the officers arent to bad anymore just a TRIBBLE load of healthy really. at least its not like the romulan medic that in open beta kept bringing himself back to life over and over lol that was fun
