During the final hour of the beta, I was pulled into an encounter with the Borg. It said I was ineligible for the mission, so I returned to Sector Space... only to get pulled back into the encounter.
this repeated 10 times (20 Load Screens) before I was able to hit the transwarp fast enough to get to Earth.
I do not know if this was the intention of the Enemy Contacts in sector space, but a little more time to thrust away from the encounter would be nice.
I was irritated by that, too. And then I went into RP mode and thought to myself, "of course they wouldn't want to let me get away," and it became kinda cool in that mindset .
Well when you get to those D.S.E. near endgame or w/e it won't really be so bad cause you will have a good ship and not get pounded as hard in those D.S.E. +36 was a tad ouch! hehe
so I guess the 2 or 3 second getaway won't really be needed then
I got rather frustrated at this as well. Bad enough getting pulled into the Deep Space Encounters with no option to refuse, but then to exit the encounter only to be instantly pulled back in...
Especially after fighting endless streams of borg at SB1, and accomplishing exactly nothing, I just wanted to spend my last hour or so of OB actually getting some missions done. Yeah, that's right, I wanted to do some more leveling. Because there were some things I wanted to try with my characters before the end of OB, so I could have a better idea what I want to do once I start for real on Friday.
I might have enjoyed the "event" at SB1 if it ever seemed like something more might happen than just fighting neverending streams of drones. But just shoot drones till one targets you and you die, then repeat over, and over, and over, and... Not fun.
