Yeah, if you try to zone out, the second you get out to sector, you zone right back into the confrontation. Very frustrating, i basically just sit and die, over and over and there is nothing i can do!

I too have encountered this bug. There REALLY needs to be a confirmation button before you zone rather than an autozoning design. As it stands, even with a decent computer and a cable modem it takes me about 90 seconds for the game to zone me into an instance I never wanted to play and another 120+ seconds to zone out.... only to get zoned back in. If I'm lucky I might be able to get my map opened up and smack the change instance button in time to avoid the automatic zoning. Of course that eats up even MORE time as I wait for that to change instances while STILL running a genuine risk of accidently bumping into yet another automatic Deep Space Encounter I NEVER WANTED TO PLAY IN!!!

I was interested in enjoying the End of Beta event until I realized it was something designed for players with Admiral level toons or folks who enjoy PVP, neither of which I am. So, I decided to make the most of it by trying to just play my normal missions but I can't even enjoy that because of this endless Deep Space Encounter loop bull**** that prevents me from even getting to my missions!

    What the hell?

come on, the server's going to be wiped in 15 minutes, that is probably the only time they will ever pull something like that on us. who cares about points none of it is going to matter in 15 minutes anyway.

Explained this many times on here and im going to do it again, being forced into a space battle is a Feature of the game, During the end of beta event they obviously didn't have the code right to turn the Massive Borg Cube into a portal after you have entered it, If this was in place then it would ask you if you wanted to "Contact" the enemy signature.

If you open your map and click on the <change instance> button, you will find a check box at the bottom of the list that will fix this issue. It is meant to let you pick the instance you will be going into.

This allows you to use the <cancel> button (instead of picking an instance) when you are being "forced" into these unwanted encounters. Sometimes encounters will re-agro you and try to zone you into it again, but you can just cancel again.

Using this, I was able to "escape" any of the Borg encounters within a few tries and didn't have to wait for loading screens.

Hope this helps you in the future. :)
