Ground Combat directional shifts

I tend to use the W,A,D,S key commands during ground combat. When you get close to an opponent something happens to these directionality keys, such that pressing W actually causes you to back away from the target.

This seems to happen most when I am crouching.

Also as an aside I selected ground trait resistances to test my overall ability to esacape roots, holds, and knockdowns. I couldn't really tell any difference at all.

    I have a similar problem: Whenever I have an enemy targeted in ground combat, both my toon and my camera face the target. Is this actually working as intended? And if so, how the hell can I toggle it off?

    W should always equal "dude walks forward", not "dude walks forward ONLY IF dude has no enemy targeted, else dude PERFORMS FANCY FACING MOVEMENTS and walks toward enemy dude was trying to flee from".
