bah thought id level my klingon for the invasion tonight and all i get is Server not responding and the Gamer server connection failed before being dumped at the login screen
gonna be gutted if i miss it
This happens to me occasionally as well. I'm not irate about it... but if I wait for about 5 minutes or more, usually my character comes back into existence and I can play again.
This has happened to me in NWN when I was playing online sometimes. It seemed there that the char was actually still being used by the server, and the connection was still active in it's mind, so the character couldn't be accessed. I would suspect that something similar is happening here. You load into a new area, but the server might loose touch with you, but not the char, and then sits and goes, "Well, get on with your mission".... "Oh, Hello? Anyone there?"... "No... then get out! Come back when you're ready"
This has been happening to me all day now. Most especially with exploration missions. Seems the server falls over generating the instance and/or content then you get stuck in a loop till you transfer back to sector space etc.
Some sort of response would be nice but wishful thinking im sure
This only happens to me now when I try to get into some system. Probably maxed # of connections reached for system. So I wat a few minutes and it puts me back into sector. Then after a little while I can get into system too. It will be much better after release. Less people will be playing, more room for everyone.
is there any workaround for the long waiting time between this problem and the next login, because i have to login many times until it works thats a bit frustrating. If it has to do with the logout timer, how long does it take until the char is logged out ?

"No chancellor, we cannot invade the federation tonight as planned because NO ONE TURNED UP, they were all sitting at the loging screen"
