Between the never-ending high yield plasma torpedoes that will continually ram you and explode multiple times until you destroy them, and their medics that can resurrect in combat while you are shooting them...

I want to be a Romulan when they become playable.

Edit: Romulans are a race, not a class... doh

Yeah how tough they are is a bit much, it seems like it take forever to destory or kill them. I enjoy space combat, but I don't want to spend 10 mintues killing ONE ship.

Yeah, its the knee-jerk behaviour kicking in, pre-patch they was a joke and now they are extremely difficult to kill. You guys fought a Romulan Scimitar Dreadnought yet?....those are fun....not. Imagine the doomsday machine, without the immunity to everything except those special torps, that sums up the Scimitar it even pretty much has the same spacial area cone effect weapon as the doomsday that hits for 12k+ and its difficult to escape from.

You think that was tough, facing Romulans on the ground?

Boss encounters with Remans are way harder. Their psionic powers have been the death of my away team more than once.

My most recent, rather frustrating combat encounters has been with the mad crew of the U.S.S. Obsidian (early Captain-tier mission). They have Combat Engineers there, and those take minutes of hammering before I can bring them down. Now that was frustrating.

    but...

THEY ARE ROMULANS! They are like Vulcans, only ****ed off 24/7!

    They should be badass.

edit: lol... it censors "pi$$" but not "badass". nice.

btw, I agree... they are a little too hardcore right now :P

Romulans - in space are a walkover tbh. Shoot the plasma torpedo the moment it fired (sometimes that damages them :p ) and they got nothing. Mind you if they shoot you when disabled you are screwed. lol

As for on the gronud medics. I use telekinesis as a skill on my race, so it KB/KD's them. If that isnt up I will always get into melee range of the medics and smash them with the rifle countless times as they try to rez their friend.

I don't think the Warbirds have enough hold abilities or ways to jack me out of doing anything.

I have the best stocked ship for level 17 and I have been playing days of beta....I have developed a few manuvers of my own...but I can no longer do anything with the Romulan threat. Three patches ago, they were too easy, two patches ago they are near to impossible. The last patch did not change this fact. Certainly, we want a challenge or what is the point....but most agree the Romulans need another tweak.
