Ice Mining Mission for Klingons

Critical, cannot progree unless you are VERY patient.

I was on a Ground Fleet action called Ice Mining I beleive. The respawn rate is very high. I had to fight through several mobs over and over again. It is extremely frustrating to try and compete with the NPC's when they rez so fast.

First action, Place spatial charges. Finnished after just running and avoiding mobs.
Second action, KIll Artillery Supporters. This is where is gets VERY frustrating as the respawn rate is high. Also hard to find these guys at times unles you fight through 20 npc's.
Third action, Jam consoles or somthing similar, again respawn rate is high.
Last action, Raly Point. more of the same, but at least they are easy to take down quickly.

    I was thinking the opposite when I played it last night. The spawn rate needs to be speeded up. I would love to fight the guy's replacement before I've even killed him.

    Oh wait a minute! I was!!

    I tried that with a well coordinated team of five who were healing each other, etc. A few times we made it though the opening area, over the bridge, and actually killed an artillery spotter or two. But the respawn rate was killing us. And there was no way to "outrun" someone who had your number, you'd run only to pull them in on top of whoever you ended up running into.

    At the end, after a few members of the team left in frustration I ended up fighting with a group of maybe five or six Klingons who were stuck in the spawn area. We'd spawn in, fight Feds, kill several and eventually die, only to spawn in and do it all again. It would have not been so bad had they actually DROPPED SOME DECENT STUFF! All I ended up with was food and other assorted junk. Had I actually gotten a nice weapon or shields out of it, I might have a better opinion.

    It's frustrating to spawn in and fight bad guys from right where you stand, only to kill them, turn to fight another, and the original guy spawns back in.

    And don't get me started on the Engineers who place an everlasting turret every 10 seconds!

    its a FLEET ACTION not a solo mission...

    a full group of 5 is the MINIMUM ive completed this fleet action with, ive done it numerous times. And with only 5 its damn hard, everyone has to know exactly what they are doing, a full group of 20 can mow right through it.

    Fast respawns is what makes it fun, youve got to keep moving or your SOL.

    I agree the klingon spawn point needs to be fixed, putting you under the asteroid instead of on top is just a stupid move by cryptic. And judging by the federation text that still populates this missions popups id say they were in quite a rush copying this instance and didnt do anything to change it other than swap the npcs to feds and multiply them by 10 (thanks again cryptic...) And im sure alot of it will be changed for live since the Fed version was already nerfed, before they completely broke it with their awesome copy and paste job...

    Gotta agree. The fast spawns are what make it exciting. Klingon side was a little overboard, but the Federation side's rate is just fine. Tag along with a group- it's a Fleet Action for cryin' out loud! The first time I ran through it, I was sold on STO. Play it the way it's intended to be played before you scream for nerfs...

    I did, and with several players we kept dying. Then when we ran back to get to where we were we had to keep killing the same npc's that respaqned too fast.

    Sorry to say but if this is the way it was intended I don't like it. I enjoy the space battles, at least those ships don't respawn. Especially right on top of you.

    But if you like it more power to you, I didn't.

    I thought the mission was pretty hard as well.

    Too many respawns to get anywhere

    I am sorry if you have a full group and are pinned down by respawns then it is too fast, slow it down.
