This is a duplicate thread I posted in the Gameplay Feedback section first by mistake.
I was leveling a cruiser today and while on the Azure mission Oirion Syndicate ships were able to fire at me even if they were behind asteroids. This seems to me unfair.
Also noticed ships flying right into me as if they were trying to ram me and at times they temporarily will get stuck on me and not move. I of course could have moved, but the prupose of couse is to test things.
Why are ships at times flying right into you instead of circling?
As I understand it, ship AI tries to take advantage of the particular ships strengths. Since many types of vessels like the Klingons and Romulans have mostly forward facing weaponry, they try to keep those weapons bearing on the target as best as possible to continue dealing DPS.
Ship AI Pathing might need some work though, as sometimes they do take it a bit too far and basically try to ram you.
