Its open beta it isn't a launched game, deal with it.
We all know the the f it is u noob, still dont excuse the poor service were putting up with!!! Its not ready for open beta every one can see. Understand what customer service means try reading up about it, sick of hearing numptys like you goong on telling every one its beta!!!
Likely it is due to their attempt to make the servers more optimized for the load. Be patient, though the "get over it" comment is misplaced I think. The point is, this is an OPEN beta, so a lot of potential customers are here. Lots of problems only one week before release can sometimes put people off, understandably though.
My hope is that the bugs will clear up just in time, or they delay the release a couple weeks.
Last night it said back in two hours which was late here so I didn't wait around. But now it doesn't say when it will be back up. Odd that I could get half in to the game before it froze? Don't mind it being down just need more info on when it will be back up.

Lol no point getting angry at me because you don't have a clue what your doing in this game, your here to find bugs and report them not have a free ticket to the game.
Agreed. Im sure we can expect to see a large patch to fix most of the glitches before the ACTUAL release. I want to play just as much as the next man, but this is what open beta is all about. Better to identify these problems sooner rather than later.
If they are having this many problems a week before launch, it is not going to be pretty.
who says that it really is a problem? they might be stress tessting te servers. I rather have them knowing what the servers can handle now in the open beta than when they go live and when you actually are paying for the game.
True, but things are not going to suddenly get better just because them game went live.
Well you have seen cryptic devs have plowed through a multitude of minor bugs already alrite there are a select few still cropping up but no game going into launch is 100% polished.
The person who made this thread is whinging over nothing come a few weeks time, im a lifer for this game so im going to put some faith in the team they will deliver doomsayers just tick me off and waste boardspace.
Lol no point getting angry at me because you don't have a clue what your doing in this game, your here to find bugs and report them not have a free ticket to the game.
Yet again numpy no such thing as a free meal and fti your the one who is clueless. Get an education f whit!!
The only thing I have with it is the time choice. I hope they move these fixes to around 4 AM Pacific Time.
I had a few personal RL friends give me great reviews about cryptic. Especially about being obsessive about bug fixes. What he said was "you are garinteed that a bug will be fixed NEXT PATCH".
Personally, I like this. I've spent a few years on EVE-Online and one thing I can tell you is that its only the raw content of the game that keeps it alive, since EVE has probably the most bugs of any mmo - and of course CCP gives me and many other Americans the finger when we ask to have stuff replaced because of a bug.
You have a total of 9 posts all of which are negative towards STO beta and cryptic in general. Dude calm down no need to be so high strung since all it does is lead to heart disease.
It's a game it's being beta tested. Heck I'll be happy if I can play for 6 hours at a time at launch as I expect a multitude of bugs and maintenance windows to be everywhere the first week.:D
It's an open beta, so there's going to be issues still.
However, having this kind of issues so close before the launch date is not really a good sign.
Granted, open beta is mostly about server stress, however, the server should be able to handle most of the load - I am just hoping they did not underestimate how many people were going to sign up ^_^.
But regardless of what happens, they're pretty much stuck if they can't fix it before launch...
We're so close to the release date, nobody would push a game back so quickly, it would most likely be impossible, since the boxed versions are most likely already on their ways to the stores...
But if the game is all buggy, or the server goes down within a couple of days after launch, many people are going to leave, and they'll be loosing quite a lot of subscribers really quickly.
It's a pretty bad situation for them, and I'm thinking a LOT of people are sweating very heavilly right now, and being worried about who will not have a job next month...
I think the best we can do, is leave them room to breathe, and let them do their best. Moaning about the server crashing one week before launchtime ain't gona make it better... At best the comment will be ignored by most people, at worse, it'll just annoy whoever is trying to get stuff fixed ^_^.
It seems to me that Teral is a new to Beta testing. Obviously, Terel doesn't have a clue about how these things work. So, have pity for the poor frustrated baby.
Personally I consider being a BETA tester to be completely different from someone buying a game to play it. The way Terel*** seems to be looking at it is that he is a paying customer (the game isn't released yet so you are not legally a customer of cryptic). What everyone in the open beta is (technically) is an unofficial employee of cryptic, being paid with the ability to play the game early, but sending in bug reports while doing so. I've sent in a good 20-30 bug reports on bigger bugs that I hadn't seen posted already and at the same time I'm having a blast playing the game.
So thanks cryptic for fixing the bugs everyone's been reporting and giving us the opportunity to play your game early, and thanks OP for killing a little bit of my time waiting for the server.

Hell at the moment this game is not costing us anything so why get so angry..

Not only is this Open Beta, but this is something that's going to happen whenever the devs want to put in SOMETHING NEW like UPDATES
So Shut your pie hole, and deal with it.

True, the game is free right now. So we should just suck it up and wait it out
Another open beta f whit!!!

I hope the beta gives you a really bad impression, so that we won't have to deal with you upon release.
The best time to do this is during Beta.
So thanks cryptic for fixing the bugs everyone's been reporting and giving us the opportunity to play your game early, and thanks OP for killing a little bit of my time waiting for the server.
EDIT: figured out a name, the ***
i have played many mmo's at launch and some of them being right F**K ups.
WoW is a great example. was terrible when it first came out.
Cryptic is listening to all your criticisms and implementing as many game updates and changes as they can before release.
The servers aren't crashing, they have to take them down to patch the game.
Thanks for listening.
