no launcher appears, just a task bar icon

As of today, when I click the client, the star trek online task shows up at the bottom in my task bar, and in my icons, but there is no actual client from which to launch the game. it shows in my task manager as consuming resources, but otherwise is inaccessible. This happened immediately after running last night's patch.

    nevermind - for some reason, it needed to be maximized from the task manager (not the taskbar or anything like that).

    I have the saem issue, and unfortunately no answer for you. Mine stallled at 43% and then stopped responding. Sorry.

    Can a brother get a little dev help?

    i dont think his was, mine never showed anything other than "star trek online" in the task bar and no launch client. it never showed patching or anything.

    unfortunately, his sounds much more tricky to fix. good luck man :(

    I am having the same issue! Tried validating the game files in steam and it said 3 files were invalid and re-downloaded the entire game! I revalidated again after the DL and it said 1 file was invalid! so it downloaded the file...revalidated...everything checked out...tried starting the game again...nothing. Revalidated...said 1 file was invalid!?!?! Endless circle.

    I havent played since this weekend, what happened?

    EDIT: I tried the trick of maximizing it from the task manager and it worked! :eek: Thank you!
