Yes, and I use it for all my games. If I ever lost it , it be like loosing my left hand. But yes It works sweet for STO, especially for space combat.:D

Hi, just picked one up. I could not find my old trusty n52 laying around the house...
Anyway is there a good site for prebuilt profiles or does someone have a profile they like with STO?
I am building mine now but just thought I would ask as people come up with great ideas for configurations.
i switched from using a cougar hotas to one of these. I just set mine up for
blue map- sector space non combat.
red map- space combat.
green map ground combat. and use the bottom 3 buttons to switch between them all.

Oh nice idea for the blue, red, green modes.
I mostly configured mine tonight. This is different software from what I am used to on the my old n52.
The antighosting or multi key press is a nice touch as it does not lock, hang, or not respond like some of the other controllers do.
Question: I am trying to get it to repeat a button until press again and all I see is repeat until another button is pressed. What would the configuration be?
I'm thinking of buying this game pad also. But I was wondering if the issues with the D-pad is fixed. I remember seeing a post here during beta testing that wasd key bind on the d-pad won't work properly. Is this working?
I was using the n52 for 3 years till a couple of months ago. Now using the Logitech G13. It's way better then the n52. Better profile creation, I can map keys while in game. I know it cost more, I got my on sale for $39.99 as a xmas prersent for myself.
Logitech actually has support which we as n52 users all know that Belkin as no product support. And Logitech actually create profiles and allow users to post their profiles. I just downloaded a user made profile for Mass Effect 2.
With the LCD display and Ventrilo I can see other users names as they speak so I can learn there names easier. I just join a fleet so this is really handle.
I have the original n52. Back in the day you could post your profiles on their community site. I am seriously looking at upgrading to the G13 though, as my n52 is approaching the end of its life. I'm not impressed by the reviews of the n52te.
New, nifty items: the n52te has a center thumb joystick that makes using the dpad easier. Its default setting has it mapped to the directional keys that are in STO used for shield facing.
The way it worked out, being able to quickly thumb a shield facing to be reinforced is a nice bonus. Also if you watch some youtube reviews of it, you will see that the stick is removable and it will go back to being a dpad. I worry that it might be a bit flimsy but time will tell if I get over excited and break it.
In the earlier levels I would just rotate the ship as the power transfer delay was not worth it. I opted for turning on eng console vs eps power transfer. I will likely go with a new IV or higher eps console but I sure like the starship handling bonus.
More n52te details/mini review:
Pro:
1. Buy this once and you get a generally programmable keyboard that can be used for any of your games.
2. Three different modes and signified by the color change so its easy to tell what mode your in.
3. Some games benefit from the look/feel with a different interface. Example using the wheel for throttle vs keys.
4. Long life - my old n52 (If I can find it lol) still worked very well and never had any key failures or problems.
5. USB and portable - does take up some desk space but usually worth it vs and entire new keyboard.
Cons:
1. I think its overpriced. Drop to 40-50 would seem better given the gamer economy.
2. Unless you really need the minor differences from the n52 to the n52te just save your money get the n52.
3. The led mode lights at the base are a bit too bright. That blue light feels like a laser drill on the eyes.
4. Only works for left hand, the joypad and other items are not reachable if using the right hand.
5. Your arms feel a bit stretched out wide especially if you have a full sized keyboard.
The macro programming so far I find pretty lacking. I want to actually have some command steps in there vs a few simple preprogrammed procedures made by razor. I recall in my old n52 software I could loop a command over and over until I pressed the key again to stop.
With the antighosting aka lets you do 5 function commands/keys at once having a looping command should be no big deal.
Does anyone know how to get the n52te to loop a command until that same key is pressed again? Trying to get this set for beam weapons and save my space bar from dying a horrible and completely unnecessary death! lol
You don't need to have a macro mash the space bar over and over to fire beam weapons. You just need to get an automatic mouse key application such as "Auto Mouse Click" to have it right-click the beam weapon icons quickly, at about 50ms each, to set them to ALL to auto-fire. Start with the front bank first, get them set, then do the aft bank.
This has been understood and okayed by Cryptic as they understand this is a problem.
