Hi guys loving this game so far. Anyway to my problem i've noticed most of the peoples problems seem to occur in ground battles or away teams which is where mine is. When im in space or at a spacedock by myself or in sector space anywhere on my ship and by myself not fighting anything im perfectly fine. However sometimes during away teams my computer suddendly beeps partically when the fighting gets tense it will sorta just beep ... beep ... beep .. beep .. beep and then it will either stop or I will finish the ground portion and it will stop or the beeps will get longer if i have more to go. I usually try and stop if the beeping doesn't stop cause I have no idea what it is doing?

Some background info:

- I use nortons internet security and it continues to dectect sonar activity of high risk with the crypticerror.exe and quartines it although I've told it too leave it alone so it could be nortons?
- I have the latest NVIDIA drivers installed
- My computer is about 2 years old got it in june-july 2008 the specs are:

Windows vista home premium 32bit
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz
4GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+

Really appreciate any help I can get as enjoy this game and would love to have it smoother i've been searching and I cant find anything on it. Thanks guys!

Sounds like your PC is overheating and the "Bleep" is the Bios beep to tell you that.
Check the Temperature in Bios, there are a few threads around listing problems and possible solutions to overheating.
Also the "Beep" can be disabled through bios although I dont reccomend it... its there for a reason.

    In addition
on some PC's/Keyboards the "Beep" will signify too many keys been pressed on the keyboard, make a mental note of what keys you are using at the time of the beep, and maybe change them, most commonly noticed when crouching and moving whilst trying to sprint for example. Although this is rarely a problem with newer PC's/Keyboards

Id just like to point out that my post (#5) is a reference to the avatar of the person I quoted, and keeping your PC (especially CPU) in a decent state of repair is highly recommended, hehe.
