Hi all.

What do you all think?
It flickers and changes all the time, and peeks of the game can bee seen through it sometimes, normally when moving the character or changing the view with the mouse... No crashes yet, just keep on with the garbage on the screen.
I'm running an Athlon X2 245 cpu and 2x Radeon HD4890' in xfire, but the problem is the same with xfire on and off. Latest drivers (9.12) installed.
All major graphics options are off at the moment, resolution is 1920x1080x59Hz
Cheers for any help or insights...

My card was the Radeon 2600 HD, so might be an issue with older Radeon drivers?
I already have them, but i'll re-download and install the ati drivers again...
Again it runs fine till the STO client locks up my machine and I have to manually reboot. I get back in game and I get the same messed up screen as the OP.
I then tried running in safe mode, no help. Set my card to over ride AA for STO, no help. Set everything to high, no good. Changed screen resolutions, seems worse at lower res. Have even set my PC to bare bones processes to just run STO, still no go.
Ive gone through this routine 3 times now and every bloody time the same thing ... crash = wonky screens, sector space is the worse.
Lets hope for a patch soon to see if it clears this up.
My graphics card : radeon hd4600
updated dx & driver - with no result.

UPDATE - It looks like a rendering issue... When i move the camera around to certian views, it cleans right up, but move off that angle a little and it all screws up again... maybe its not a drivver issue after all, eh? ^^
My friend has a similar comptuer using a 4850, and his game runs flawlessly.
Just a heads up.

I've tried raising and lowering graphics settings. I've tried disabling the catalyst AI. I've increased the fan speed to 90% to make doubly sure I'm not overheating.
I have to think it's a driver issue, as I'm having the same kind of issue with artifacting in Borderlands.

Hmm, i already had the ATT, maybe that is why updating the drivers fixed it for me.
Alternatively, is there temp/cache folder in the STO setup (not at home so can't see the structure)? it could be that some cached element from the crash is causing the glitch for you.
time to get some ROAST onto the borg XD
much recomend ati tray tools if u have this particular problem.
