Heat issue corrected?

I know there are 5 bitrillion posts about this, but more posts the better chance on it getting corrected.

AND NO IT'S NOT ME, I know my comp and I put the settings on low, and yes my 8800GT already runs hot, but 109C with rivatuner at 100% blast? I think not. I don't want to blow my power supply, or as my uncle says, MY VIDJIA CARD!!

Or give me a link on programmers knowing it's messed up.

    GW Bush is your uncle?

as for the guy above, is the maxfps command in a config file where you can put in a limit or is it hardcoded to where the devs have to alter it? if it is changable someone with problems might test and see if limiting the fps to something reasonable helps, or stops the problem, then it would help the devs in fixing this, heck if nothing else they can set the default to something like 300 to fix the problem in that case.

Scaraths thread actually helped me. My temp at least dropped with 10 degrees, I hover around 70-80 right now which is alooooot better than hitting 90 tbh. Still trying stuff to get it dropped even more though! ^^
