Command to hide Player/Object names in Space?

Is there a console command to hide player and/or object names in space? Not only does this kill my framerate when there are lots of players or mines on screen (starbase 24 / sector space / random instance) but it is so annoying to see dozens of mines in a giant clump awaiting the next wave of Klingons.

you can do it from the options menu. I think it is on the last tab. make sure you hit the little right arrow key on the top, Scroll down towards the bottom it will be there. Sorry I couldn't give you exact info but I'm not in game. If you look around you will see it though

The HUD options menu only hides names on the ground, unfortunately. It doesn't work out in space, not for me, at least. :(
