Can't test the game any like this. It sometimes takes 10 to 15 minutes to get logged in and as soon as I zone into an instance or out of one , Warp to any system it loses connection then I have to repeat the whole login again for 10 to 15 minutes .....
Just takes to much time to even complete one mission when you disconnect zoning in. Then complete the mission and disconnect beaming to ship. Then disconnect when you try to warp out of the instance to sector space. Then disconnect when try to enter the other system. That's over an hour of disconnecting and reconnecting just to complete one simple mission.
I'm done until they can fix the servers.
So it's not just that the server has maxxed connections that you can't log in. Since the server has maxxed connection you LOSE CONNECTION every time you try to zone or warp or beam.
Agreed. It is bad enough when it takes 30 minutes of pounding the Log In button the first time.. why we don't have a queue is just crazy.. but then to have a 50% chance of getting booted at each transition when a mission could have 4 or 5 transitions is nuts. Even if that chance was 1% it would be too much.
I hope this is a high priority to fix otherwise I'll be 30 days and out.. and I really don't expect 5 days of not being able to play to count against the 30 I'm paying for.
I find if I don't go through their EU proxy I get relay bad rubber banding and the error about losing connection to the server, BUT if I go through the proxy I get disconnect every time I zone and at random times but the rubber banding etc is gone.
Now I have limited experience with proxy servers but my understanding was they are used like a relay booster when a server has trouble communicating a stable signal over a long distance but proxy's are well known to cause problems like disconnects and that's why they are generally not used by commercial games. If this is the case does that mean the Cryptic server/software is that bad it needs a proxy because to be honest I have been giving them lots of rope over the last week to Iron out these Issue's which I for one think is a big deal.
I'm sure I will get lots of Americans and people who live close to the servers location saying its fine for them so I should shut up, but a company cannot take a game live and say its open to all country's (but really the only people going to have a good gaming experience is those who live close to the server).
By disconnect do you mean hanging at the load screen (which I assume is supposed to look like a warp tunnel)?
That's certainly what I get, the loading bar will almost complete, hard to tell how far left as it's poorly displayed black on black, then will just stop. Sometimes it will go on to completing the load, which actualy just seems to be a transition rather than more data but it's hard to tell (see above) but usually it won't. I got in after waiting 25 minutes once and in the chat log there was a warning that it was going to boot me for inactivity.

Nope disconnect as in booted out of game to the login screen.

Same problems for me. I'm in Canada and I had to set to EU proxy to get login to work and not be rubber banding all over the place. Whether I was on US or EU though I still have these disconnects 50% of the time when I try to load any maps.
DC'd the last mission I done after warping out. Stays on the last load screen as if I'm just about to enter play all night each time I try to log in. Not impressed.

I have the exact same issue from Australia (melbs), rubber banding when I don't use EU or US proxy and if I do use a proxy I disconnect 100% of the time warping from any mission to the sol system &/or to ground missions. I also disconnect when beaming to the earth station/main city.
I'm running 64bit windows 7, i7920 with 6 gig ram, 4870 1 gig DDR5 video card c/s updated drivers. every other game works fine so I think it maybe at there end...
Has anyone found a solution? At least on Aussie time I can log in again instantly after a DC, however the the extra load time is getting annoying.

Yeah, I'm in this boat too. Everything was sooo stable for me up until today, I never got a dc, which was surprising, I'm in Australia, even the lag was ok. Tonight every zone or instance change its a gamble that I'll be disconnected, or failed to find map server, or server not responding, like everyone else here.
every time i enter an instance (system or planet) i get the message "Loginserver disonectet"
this happens 9 of 10 times!
After that, i try to log in and get a "Gameserver disconnect" message.
That happens since yesterday after i installed the actual patch.
Thats a bad problem they should fix fast!
well its open for preorders tonight.. and i am in. but the issue is still here and just as bad if not worse than ever. if they dont fix it soon. i think the same will happen to this game as what happened to champions. people will just not play after a month. what a shame to have a death of a game like this over something so stupid. please fix it soon
Is there possibliy a fix for this issue, i crashed the last 3 hours like each change of instance and had to relog from the scratch. This disconnecion is hell annoying...
